Les Leary: Love the silicone bumper! Comes off easily to clean. I insert the metal strainer, add a couple tea bags or better loose leaf tea, pour boiling water over, seep, then lift out strainer and chill the pitcher. LOVE not having to transfer and get something else dirty. Lid seals tight so no funky fridge odors. If I had to change something i would make it a little bigger. Good for one person not a family.

Tiffany: Just as I said. The first one arrived absolutely destroyed. If it had been any more crushed, it would have been dust.
I requested a replacement and thankfully that one arrived safe and sound, though I am always acutely aware of how fragile the glass feels. And how fragile it clearly is, if the first one was any indication.

It works as described, though I primarily use it to steep tea for iced tea. Its really perfect for that - if anything I wish I had an even bigger one.

I am giving it 4 stars because of the 1st one, and the very distinct fragility of the glass. It just feels thin.

However, it does its job, and I really do like it. However, I cant say I'd buy it again - I'd probably buy a different one to avoid the risk of dealing with another broken one.

Jude525: I love the smooth flavor of cold brew iced coffee. But the price at the coffee shop was outrageous. I rarely get coffee out, preferring my own options at home. I have several. I don't currently have a French press so I decided to invest in a simple cold brew carafe.
I use this almost every day. I use 1/4 cup coarse ground coffee to 4 cups of cold water and leave at least overnight in the fridge. This makes a strong brew that can be served 1:1 with more cold water for a smooth, strong iced coffee.
My only complaint, and it's minor, is that getting the inside clean isn't easy. The shape is hard to get in to. The coffee oils tend to build up in layers as I go through the day. I couldn't find anything saying that it was dishwasher safe, but I tried it anyway. I take off the rubber base and place it on the top shelf. This has been working out just fine. As long as this keeps doing the job, then I will be very happy.
A couple of side notes. First, I use a canning funnel to cleanly get the coffee into the steeping column. It fits the mouth perfectly. Second, I highly recommend Bizzy Coarse Ground coffee. There is hardly any sediment when I use this. They even have decaf. It is...

Nanaimo: Initially I thought it is useful but it's kind of hard when I take the lid or the drain out after brewing. The rubber comes off all the time. And doesn't seal well. I don't recommend the item.

Danny Beltrán: Me gustó mucho el factor forma ya que es facil de sujetar, y es muy práctivo de utilizar.
El lavado es muy facil también. El cafe que se prepara queda muy rico igual. El precio podría mejorar.
