Reader's Blast: The value for this drill bit is worth the purchase. I have some ceramic pots I needed holes in the bottom of them. I learned how to place the holes there and just needed the diamond drill bit. This drill bit did a great job. It is reliable instrument abs I didn’t break nor crack one ceramic. Highly recommend.

Shelleys.Shelleys.: Love it! I was counting down the days til I got this product and it did not disappoint ! I have so many pretty pots with no drainage holes and so when I got this product (same day) I used it and it cut perfect holes (WITH A COOLANT basically water) in my pot. I wasn’t sure the material of this pot but as I was cutting it showed it was terra cotta with a paint over it so nothing to difficult I found a YouTube video which instead of immersing the pot in water like some recommendations, you simply spray (I used cold) water as you go so nothing went wrong as far as I noticed. I didn’t care about the inside being peeled because the outside maintained it’s paint coating nicely. Your pot, YouTube, towel, water, and a drill is all you need really!

I've used it on a few different types of glass. Took some time, but the result was exactly as expected. When drilling, I kept the drill head under cold running water.

Tip: to prevent slipping, here's three ideas:
- use sandpaper to roughen the surface for grip
- put a piece of tape on the surface for grip
- pin the drill in the cup of your index finger and thumb (these tools do not cut you...) and start your drilling slowly

Removed one star because once the piece of glass from the hole made got stuck within the hollow part of the drill head. No big deal and easy to get out, but it is a product flaw though.

Update: it drilled a perfect hole in ceramic relatively quickly, but the drill head is slightly damaged from it. So it can handl glass fine but not ceramic. Not subtracting another star for this because I'm still so happy with the purchase at its low price, but beware if you are planning to drill ceramic.

Jude: I am a new DIYer as a 72 year old female. I love gardening but am on a limited income. I wanted a drill bit that I could drill holes in inexpensive ceramic pots for planting and for drilling a hole in little knick knacks to use to make cute little water fountains for my container gardens. I have already made a cute mushroom fountain and tonight I just finished a cute turtle fountain in a birdbath. Even for someone that does not know what they are doing, I am able to use the drill bits. I need a little practice since I made a tiny chip near the hole I drilled, but I will learn with practice. I am using just "dollar store' pieces for the water gardens so they aren't expensive pieces at all. I'll practice on the cheapies before I try something I pay a little more for. I do love the drill bits - they make me feel so 'handy', LOL.
