Katt Taylor:
A satisfying and surprisingly subtle story. Excellent plot, tight writing and genuine depth.
No preaching but an excellent ethical backbone, endearing and complex characters and the kind of truth told best by fiction. All this and yet an easy to devour story.

Thea Rudesal: A book filled with intrigued but, more importantly, warm, real women. Elzibeth is portrayed in a very interesting manner, causing you to want to know her story. Andrew and his total acceptance of her wholly without reservation is what any woman wants in a man.

Ladygator: I read this book from a recommendation from several members in my book club. So glad I did. It has thought provoking moments where I sat back and paused my reading, just to sit and reflect on my own life. Very good writing and flow. It was a great book of strong women who pressed forward when times got tough. A book of misunderstandings, hate, escape, return, forgiveness, friends, family and love all wrapped up. Loved it!

Iri C.:
A wonderful and magical story about four generational women, although the start let you assume the opposite.
Absolutely worth of reading!

L. L.:
I love a book that makes me think and reconsider what I thought I knew about others. This book has a truly great story behind it about life, forgiveness, and those things we may have failed to pay attention to until it's too late. I loved the letters from the grandmother to her granddaughter. It reminds us all how important it is to not miss what can be learned from the women in our family that came before us, in today's fast, selfish material world, of getting ahead. Listen to your ancestors, if you're lucky enough to have one like the main character in the story, don't wait until they're gone and miss out on all they can teach you about life, and yourself, because they knew us when we were too young to know ourselves yet.
There were many beautifully written lines I highlighted to remember. May we all
have a grandmother this wise and good, that loved us this much, and may we all find peace in forgiveness of those who may have let us down..They have their stories too, and heartaches. We just didn't listen then. It reminds us we can change our destiny just by making a different choice in how we see, and deciding to have the courage to see things as they...

Faustina: My apologies, to the author, this book was lackluster. It was the basic gramma dies, leaves a house with memories and haunts. Busy young person inherits it, comes back from a career and decides she still loves someone she grew up with. This story line has been abused. Needed more intrigue.
