Erfurgirl: This is the 3rd book I’ve read by this author but by no means my favorite. Don’t get me wrong—it was a good book but Christy had no sense of humor and I really couldn’t fathom what Wade saw in her. I was hoping that there would have been some closure on Wade’s story and how he needed to slay some demons of his own but it never came. He is the white knight always rescuing the damsel in distress…I don’t know—the book fell a little flat for me compared to the others.

Carolyn: I grappled with to give this either a 4 or 4.5. Barbara Davis did an amazing job with showing one way how someone heals from trauma. I truly believe that until we face the demons of our past or present we will never overcome them and they will always control us! This book is truly for everyone, it deals with abuse, addiction, healing, second chances, found family, self worth. The only thing is I'm not a huge fan of 3 person POV and it was a little slow in the very beginning but that also could have been because I was distracted when I first started it. Amazing book!

C.J. Brashear: Lovely story, well written and heart grabbing. It’s a rollercoaster ride for the lost and closed off Christy Lynn who reaches a point in her life for much needed soul searching, self-forgiveness, releasing self-blame, and opening new doors for happiness. Beautiful story, although you figure out the ending without realizing who is really rescued.

Katseye1977: What a wonderful story! When Christine's husband dies in a car accident her perfectly arranged life comes crashing down around her. As she has to run from reporters and the craziness behind her husband's death, she finds herself remembering her past and why she is the way she is. She settles down in a small town in Virginia and starts to make a life there when a big Ole twist is thrown at her. Can she manage to overcome her horrible childhood trauma and learn to let people in and learn to be happy? What a wonderful story about learning to heal, trust, and love even when our hearts have been so horribly damaged. Another great read by Barbara Davis. Highly recommend!

Good Romances Reader: All together the story is good and the plot well conceived, but there is too much suffering for all characters involved. The mother has too many vices and shortcomings. The doughter, the main female character, has too many insecurities and changing goals and heart. She leaves in the middle of the night to go far away to talk to her mother she hasn't seen for 20 years. Too much indecision on important topics such as to adopt the little orphan and get together with the man she has always rejected. Personally, I'm not sure this story ends well.

Cliente de Kindle: Entiendo el personaje principal de la historia, la escritora se esforzo en explicar claramente por que la chica de la historia es quien es. Pero eso no quiere decir que no te la quieras desgreñar y patear por las decisiones que toma.Es horrible!.
