eric g. kockinis: Screws are too short to be able to twist 12 gauge wire around. Had to remove screws and reinstall with wire in place. Some screws would not reinstall. Decided to scrap rather than return to Amazon. DO NOT BUY!

S. Patton: This is a great GFCI outlet - half the price of my local DIY stores, and it was very easy to install. I removed 1 star because the outlet is difficult to test. I have to use the eraser head of a pencil and push very hard to test and reset the GFCI. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the particular item I received or if it's because this is a tamper resistant receptacle. Either way, it's more of a nuisance than a defect. I would order again.

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: Bought 2 plugs and it took 14 days to ship to Canada which is quicker than the estimated shipping time. The plugs were packed extremely well and came with easy to read instructions. These plugs did not come with a face plate, probably because they are intended for outdoors and should be used in a pvc box with an "in use" cover and the WR on the front is not blue like the Amazon photos show. The red light on the face will only activate when the device is at its "end of life" indicating it needs to be replaced. I hooked these plugs up temporarily and both worked fine and tripped when I used a GFCI outlet tester. They appear bulky but in the provided photo you can see that they are the same size as other GFCI devices. This device is on the right side in the comparison photo. Both my plugs did not come with the yellow sticker covering the load screws but that's no big deal. Also, for anyone looking these are Class A rated which you can see in the photo down the left side. The buttons on the face are easy to push for TEST and RESET. These were bought for an upcoming above ground pool to power the 1 horsepower pump and gas water heater on separate circuits.

IT WORKS VERY WELL EASY TO INSTALL.

Jsizzle: Worked great. Install was easy. Only shocked myself 5 times and full-on electrocuted myself twice. Dr. Says I will make a full recovery and my wife acted happy about it, so win:win all-around.

An electrician wanted to charge us like $70.00 and outlet and had those ugly receptacles with the red and black buttons.

These receptacles have great features. These blend in better with being all-white switches, and the subtle LED tells you if it is tripped or not, so you know which reset to push if you lose power downstream to the next outlet. The price was considerably less than my 3 local major-chain Hardware stores.
