I've used this on a p[osrtable gas stove and on an electric cooker with no issues at all. I think the handle might be a little too short to use on a wood fire, but that isn't really a problem. Make sure to warm the iron well before adding the waffle batter and make sure not to overfill. As with any waffle/pancake, the first one out of the gate is usually a bit 'lacking' but the rest came out perfectly without any sticking (I do brush with melted butter between waffles though). Timing per waffle will vary depending on the heat source but low and slow is the way to go for crispy outsides and fluffy insides.

This is a cool little gadget to keep in the pan drawer instead of taking up counter space but 1) it’s too shallow so leaks waffle batter all over the place and 2) when it fell, or got thrown, whichever, it broke in a couple pieces so not such a good value. I went ahead and replaced it with a electric Oster Belgian waffle iron that is far superior—fast and deeper, doesn’t make a mess. Made room atop the toaster for it, which we never use that machine anymore now we are keto/carnivore eating.
To make chaffles use a fork to beat up 2 eggs with heavy cream (couple of tablespoons?) in a 2 cup measuring cup ; add about 1/4-1/2 cup of cheese—I use mozzarella or whatever I have on hand—, and a couple tablespoons of coconut flour. You want it thick so it doesn’t overflow the waffle iron. I butter the bottom of the waffle maker the. pour into center of the waffle maker and let it spread to the edges but don’t fill in the edges. Makes about 6-8 chaffles for me.

Great product. A bit smaller than I expected but makes decent sized waffles though. Size reference in the picture. Just about the size of the lid of Farmers Union 1kg yoghurt container. Tried making a sweet potato waffle just to try out the product and my kid loved it. Easy to use.

I got this waffle iron yesterday I wanted something non electrical that wouldn’t take up space on my countertop.
I washed it well. Applied a little melted butter and voila! Perfectly chunky cornbread-cheese and onion waffles!
Non messy and surprisingly quicker than whipping up a bunch of pancakes Bon a Sunday morning.
Highly recommended. I had no issues with my waffles sticking. Makes sure you preheat both sides of the waffle item then add a blob of butter to grease the plates. All should be well as it was for me. Happy waffling!

This worked much better than I really expected it to. I was looking for an alternative to buying, yet another appliance, for an already appliance heavy space. It cooks even and with a good bit of spray, waffles pop out with ease! Highly recommend for anyone who doesn’t want to clutter their countertop with more appliances!

I was worried about how to use it, but after I read the reviews I said I will try it, Omg !!! it's easy to use and easy to clean, it's much better than the electric one, just heat it well ,spray it with oil ,put waffle mix and enjoy the taste.. I took it with me to the Middle East and used it... It's worth it… 5 stars
