We bought this battery awhile ago, just over a year already, and it's still working as well as the day it arrived. Robert Bhimji: Looking to purchase this battery from several local dealers, however the price was always 3x - 5x the cost of the battery on Amazon however we could not do without it because the alarm was constantly beeping and had to be reset. We were resetting for about a week until we decided we had to buy a new one.

Locally the battery was selling for over $50.00 and then another $50.00 - $100.00 to "install" the battery (basically removing the old battery and disposing of it, and "installing" the new battery). Couldn't justify the almost $100 - $150 cost so ordered the battery.

It arrived within 2-days of ordering.

Opened the alarm panel, and removed the old battery and installed the new battery. There was absolutely NO FUSS! Seriously took all of 2-minutes to swap the battery out.

We have now had the battery for almost one year (in February 2014) and it's going strong! The old battery lasted almost 8-years and if I were to even get half of that with this one (I have no reason to believe it will not last at least that long) at the price it is selling for it's a deal!

I did receive the 12V 4.0ah battery and it was a perfect match with...

Shaun Brown: Bought from Amazon instead of paying my alarm company to replace my dead system battery. Paid half of the price the alarm company quoted; easiest install ever - just plug in two terminals and it worked perfectly.

Darrel D.: I want to preface this review by stating that I have not used (installed) this paritcular piece yet. I bought it thinking my current battery needed replacement but as it turned out I did not have to. However, I had purchase one last year and it did the job. I was a little surprised when I thought I had ot replace it within a year but the problem turned out to be a wiring issue. These batteries should have a life of approximately 5 years. I'm sorry I can't back up that stat since I've not had it for that long.

Kathryn Brafford: We never had to replace an alarm battery before and were a little nervous about which battery to get. We chose this battery based on other reviews. We are very glad we did. As others have stated it is not 4.0ah, but a 5.0ah. It is the same size as the 4.0ah that was replaced. My only complaint is that we ordered on a Sunday and it didn't ship until Wednesday. But we got it 2 days after that. It was easy to replace and we haven't heard a peep out of the alarm since. We are very happy with our purchase.
