Amazon Customer: This book is the best among those four in this series, in terms of pictures and storyline.
It is very sturdy. My daughter started to read it at 10 months old and the book is still in good shape after two months reading.
The book size is perfect for baby small hands to hold and the groove is large enough for their little fingers to open the flap.
The story is not too long or too short. Perfect length for young babies to keep interested as there are also flags to keep them busy. I own another book from this series, the little yellow bee, while my daughter still loves it, I would say this little blue boat’s storyline is better.

Emily Jones: I'm a second-year early learning provider for 1-3 year-olds and this is the best little board book I've come across so far. While there's a slight opportunity for pinching fingers, which children seem to discover from time to time regardless of any design, I am so impressed with the quality of the attachment for the flaps. Unlike so many others, these hinges have yet to be torn - and not for lack of exploration nor attempt! Highly recommend this title.

ScotFlower: My 16 month old was engaged by this book more than others in the same series. He is a pro at turning the flaps over. My son was impatient with the length of the rhymes at times but the images engaged him. I got these because my son needs to read books with more words per page and with more complex scenes - it builds literacy and discrimination skills. So it was for us an important developmental stage for an impatient little boy who just wants to flip pages really fast. My only complaint is that the flaps are all in the same direction unlike other books in the series... so it does not build dexterity and logic skills as much as it could have.
