Jazz Person: I returned two cheaper kettles to Amazon––a Hamilton Beach and a Comfee––because they didn't sit safely on their bases and their cords were too short. After a long, frustrating search through hundreds of reviews, I ordered this one. The third time was the charm; there's nothing I don't like about this kettle! The sturdy, 3-foot cord is perfect, it sits securely on the base, and it works beautifully. Well-designed, quality construction; all parts in contact with the water are metal. The push-button lid works smoothly and opens wide for easy cleaning. The handle is large and well-balanced in your hand, making pouring safe and easy, and the outside stays cool enough to touch.

A few suggestions for maintaining your kettle: Use filtered water, and wipe the inside dry after each use (letting it cool first, of course).

We live in a hard-water area and use boiling tap water to kill weeds. Nasty mineral deposits congregate at the bottom of the kettle, so while it's still hot, we pour in a spoonful of vinegar, swish it around, and (very carefully––it's still hot!) wipe it out with a damp cloth. Don't leave the vinegar sitting in it for long; the acid will corrode...

VB: This is my first electric kettle and I must say I am very happy with it. It is easy to clean, easy to use, and nice design. The kettle is so easy to use all you have to do is fill the kettle up to the fill line, place it on the base and turn it on. I was amazed at how quickly the water boils. It took less than 3 minutes to boil whereas boiling the same amount of water on stove top take much longer. The kettle is also cool to the touch so no worries about burning yourself when handling the kettle after it boils the water. I love the automatic shut off feature when the water is done. I love everything about this kettle. It's inexpensive and does what it is suppose to do. The only thing I wish they could do is maybe offer a variety of colors instead of just white but I would highly recommend purchasing if you are looking to get an electric kettle. Great for camping and frees up a burner on the stove when cooking.

SveetlySveetly: The media could not be loaded.  This AZEUS electric kettle is an excellent deal! I'm very impressed that one can get such a polished product for so little money now...this kettle replaced a basic stainless steel kettle I bought maybe 8 years ago, but had started to have some issues with failing to stay on through a boil, and a crack was starting to form, so it was time for a replacement. Despite being notably less money than my former kettle had cost me, this kettle from AZEUS seems to be at least as good of quality - in fact, I'd say it's a bit better in a few key ways.

One thing that immediately stood out to be about this kettle is the WIDE opening. This is awesome - nearly the entire top opens up, which has not been the case of any electric kettle I've previously owned or used. In my experience, kettles tend to require bottle-cleaning brushes because the opening is too small to fit my hand and arm into. Not so with this kettle, which, even someone like me with rather large hands, am able to clean inside with a standard dish sponge, which is very convenient, and enables a wider choice of scrubbing tools when dealing with the effects of hard water in the future (one...
