Nojokes: ... and no major complaints. Works fine. I live in a small apartment and it's hooked to my coffee table. Does what I want it to do. Could be a bit more flexible in it's motions, but for the price, I ain't gonna complain.

QuickTechReviewz: The media could not be loaded.  I don't think this is the best in its class. I believe 3 stars is the perfect spot for this. I believe for what you are paying it is definitely worth the money. I would buy this again and again however if I was looking for something more long term I would buy something more expensive. It lights up my desk at night when im working and sometimes during the day when I want it too. It changes to warmer lights which are easier on the eyes however I never feel the need to lower it. I always keep it at max brightness. 3 stars is about what this is however I would buy it again.

I really love my lamp :). So far doing well.

It’s helped me get back to crafts. Even with being heavily disabled.
I clamp it to my thick coffee table :).
The clamp isn’t as strong as I’d of like. It works it’s way free at times, but I’m okay with that.
I just do it up again and the thread is common. If I wanted to replace :).

It’s a solid strong design. It will last longer than a bendy one :).
The light is long and perfect for over your lap, not so big it interferes with your line of sight. It’s so long it could be put above your head :).
I bought it to work below eyesight. As light hurts my eyes. It’s fully extended a lot.

It has developed a small issue with the power cable.
The wires are working loose on the end, where it’s raised up vertical all the time. It appears they just slipped out.

It still works well. But can dim if there’s anything leant on the cable but that’s easily resolved :).
As I bought this for under £20. I’m more than impressed.
You can’t get another like it at that price ;).
I’d even go more if needed :).

NicholasNicholas: As I was WFH more I needed a desk lamp for my work area. This seemed to fit the bill, though there were a few similar models, this one had a discount coupon.

It came in a small box as the main lamp plus the clamp. It is of mostly metal construction though fairly lightweight, but does seem to be up to the job. You also get a small user manual and a warranty QR code to register for a years warranty. It is too early to say whether it will be needed.

The lamp will go into a variety of positions and the light is given from an LED strip behind the diffuser. It has two strips of LED's, one for the yellower warm and another for the bluer daylight. White light utilises both strips. The inline controls have a 4 buttons: power, colour mode cycle, and brightness up and down.

The LED strips is just slotted into the housing and for longevity a small mod might be useful to help dissipate the heat better and make the LEDs last longer (e.g. heatsink compound or something to bridge the airgap behind the LEDs), but we'll see.

I plugged the lamp into a meter, it uses 4.95v and when one strip is in use (warm or daylight) it draws 1.43A and for white when both strips are on...

"edthehellion": Bought this lamp to light up an organ keyboard. I like that it comes assembled. Having the light spread out over the a wide area is a plus too. There are 3 light colors, they do this by switching either warm, cool or both banks of LEDs on. The control is in the cord, about 10" from where the cord enters the lamp arm. The control has a power button, a light color button, and brightness up and down buttons. There are 11 brightness levels. The lamp comes with a wall mount power supply that has a USB-A jack in it, like a phone charger. With the lamp running all the LEDs for about an hour, the power adapter began to smell because it was so hot. I put the lamp on a samsung phone charger and the charger only got slightly warm. I suspect the power adapter that came with the lamp is not really 2.0A like is printed on it. I took the lamp to the lab and measured the current it takes at max output, with both banks of LEDS on, full brightness. The current draw is 1.94A. Real plus for me is that the mounting gizmo comes with a small thumbwheel that allows you to lock the lamps mounting post in the mounting device.
