Kim: I bought this jacket to wear as an outer waterproof layer. I bought two sizes too big after reading reviews and because I wanted to wear warm layers underneath it. I got the purple - it's a good shade - not as bright as the picture looked to me. Very light, very packable. I had another waterproof jacket that I always felt stifling hot in - it didn't breathe at all - but this one didn't feel like that. I wore it as a light jacket even when it wasn't raining and got compliments. Would definitely buy again.

Amazon Customer: This product arrived promptly, is a reasonable quality, and fit as hoped. I have now worn it for very short periods in a steady rain, and always find my back is damp, so I would say it is more water-resistant than waterproof. This was disappointing. I was careful to check thoroughly that my shirt was actually damp, not just cool.
