I like waffles, I am not a fan of the store bought bricks they pass off as real. I bought the Auertech 8 inches Waffle Maker to make real ones at home. The size is good, and Belgian waffle mix cooks up just fine. I made a bunch and had to freeze most of them. The temperature control works good, and the non-stick plate require very little oil for non-waffles. So far I've used cake mix, which turned out great, I've tried store bought cinnamon buns that were good, but what came out really good was a tube of croissant dough that I filled with apple pie filling and waffleized. A bit of butter to make a little suger stick, and I have a great new dessert. The cost was right for me to see if I would use it very often, and I have. I'll be trying fresh shredded potatoes this weekend, as the videos I checked out for ideas made these look delicious and faster than doing them on the stove. I can hardly wait to try grilled cheese. I've only had it a week and already love it. A waffle iron costing 3 times as much, wouldn't do any better. I'll try to update this after I've used it for a while to see how it lasts. My only complaint is that I should have gotten this 6 months...

I'm super happy I purchased this waffle maker. I didn't want thick belgian waffles. My waffles came out the way my grandma use to make waffles with her 80's style waffle maker. Let me include, my waffles did not stick and the device was easy to clean.
