stephen s. best: While specifically designed for children, Broadway aficionados will get a kick out of this book. Great artwork and all the “Great White Way” favorites are included.

Claudia Hoffmann: As an avid theatre fan, this book reminds me of the wonderful performances I’ve seen over many years. Raised in New York, my family attended Broadway theatre on a monthly basis. As an adult, I’ve returned to New York to see ten plays annually. Audra McDonald and Bernadette Peter Are two of my favorites.

K. Corcoran: Love the collage-y illustrations and the people they picked to rep their A B Cs! However, a kid would have to be born in a TRUNK (on Broadway, with Broadway stars as parents) to "get" all these ladies. I read it out loud "on air" and provided lots of my own "captions" to connect them with these stars. Soooooo it's sort of an ABCs for adults to appreciate and kids to slowly love if they are Broadway Babies! :)

A.A.L.A.A.L.: A is for Amazing
B is for Broadway
C is for Captivating
D is for Day-to-Day
My personal rhyme shows how much I love this book written by John Robert Allman and illustrated by Peter Emmerich. If you're a big fan of musicals, then A is for Audra: Broadway's Leading Ladies from A to Z is the perfect introduction to almost 70 women who have entertained the masses. Highly recommended (by the stars themselves no less) for both children and adults. This unique book is guaranteed to have little ones rhyme along day by day... believe me.
P.S.
I love that the author and the illustrator have included my favorite Broadway star Idina Menzel.
