Liana George: As a huge fan of Hamilton. I was excited to find this book. I love reading behind the scenes stuff so I couldn't wait to read it. And at first it didn't disappoint, until it did. While I believe everyone has a right to their personal political views, I don't necessarily want to read about them in a book that I think is going to be about one of the best music also ever created. Had that aspect been left out, this book.would have been great.

Betty Harrington: IF you love the theater, Hamilton, stories of empathy and love, etc…. then you must read this book !! This is one of those “can’t put it down’ reads. I plan to send a copy of this to the drama teacher at the high school where I used to be the principal so she can share Mike’s “takes” on being a theater kid as well as his philosophical musings on life, family, and our society. If you have seen Hamilton, then you will understand the “magic” mentioned throughout this book. If you have not seen it, this book will help you understand why Hamilton is such an important part of our cultural history.. Kudos to Mike Anthony for journaling his experiences and sharing his thoughts and his heart through his writing..

Elizabeth M.: This book is a must read for any Hamilton fan, but other people would enjoy it as well. The author, who is actually the bar manager at Hamilton in New York City, expertly captures how theatre connects us all. It's not only a book about who he's met and how the show has transformed lives, it's a novel that celebrates life and everything positive about being human, despite how difficult it may be. Anthony is an excellent writer. The chapters are short and fun, and it's a quick and easy read. Be ready to be inspired and perhaps even shed a few tears.

Denise Jimmo: In Life at Hamilton author Mike Anthony shares his real experiences and encounters via his genuine and heart warming lens on life. His ability to attract and view the best in people is inspiring while his engaging and often humorous story telling reads like a best friend sharing their latest adventure. I've often told Mike what the world needs now is more men (people) just like him. Highly recommend snuggling in and giving this a read.

DDC: Mike Anthony brilliantly weaves together essays that convey a common thread— We are not alone. We mean something to each other and impact each other on a cellular level. Hamilton fan or not, this book will touch and impact how you see the world, and in turn, how you see yourself. It is deep, and funny, and sweet. There are plenty of great anecdotes about celebrity encounters, memories of the beginnings of the run of Hamilton, and the amazing talent of Lin-Manuel Miranda. But where the storytelling really shines, is in Mike’s unique take on the experiences around him. He makes you wish that, just for a day, you could experience the world as he does. Read this book. You won’t be disappointed.

Mary A. Mcmanus: Mike Anthony has created a brilliant masterpiece weaving together his personal history with the events happening in the world around him and us. Mike has captured the essence of the genius of Lin-Manuel Miranda and the vital role that theater plays in our lives. He takes real time social media posts and incorporates them into this wonderfully delightful, honest, at times painful journey of one man's view of life and theater from the bar in the lobby at the Richard Rodgers Theater.
