It is also compatible with ¼" NPT air compressors output. Get the best tire pressure gauge available with the AstroAI Digital Tire Inflator with Pressure Gauge. Josh: It will inflate a tire but the air chuck leaks bad enough to have to keep holding the chuck onto the tire stem, without holding the chuck on the stem I don't think this unit would work.
Update: changed from 3 to 5 stars. The company responded to this review and offered a refund for the defective air chuck. It's nice to see a company take responsibility for their product and amazing to see proactive, attentive customer service. Well done.

Blustrk: I just received this today, and for the first time was able to balance the pressures instantly in all four of my Jeep’s tires without endless tedium. The first thing I did, however, was discard the locking air chuck attachment that came with it. As others have commented it leaks and doesn’t really do what it’s supposed to do. I replaced it with the CTA Tools 1930 Straight Lock-On Air Chuck that I bought here four years ago and works perfectly after years of rugged use. With that modification, this device is a perfect instrument, and so I give it five stars for fulfilling its purpose as expected.
Bearing in mind I have only owned it for one day. [I will update this review if I encounter any other issues with further use.]

Amazon Customer: First off, it is accurate. From reading the guage on the display of my truck, it is accurate. It also feels nice and comfortable in my hand that will probably change in a month's time.
The BIGGEST issue I have with it so far is the chuck. That thing will not seal. You have to be incredibly careful or lucky with it. Best case is it clamps immediately and doesn't require you to push it in. Worst case, which happened to me, it pushes the valve inwards on your tire and causes air to just leak out. The only way to fix that issue is to put it back in and pray it sets it back.
Apart from the chuck being an issue, I don't see anything else wrong with it. Ideally, I wouldn't want to replace the chuck with something that does clamp on, but nothing is perfect

MChappy: I gave 4 stars for one reason, I cannot use the chuck/nozzle w/out holding by hand onto tire valve because the clip does not hold properly onto valve stem to make a seal and leaks air. I have to hold it on the valve releasing the spring clip so the nozzle makes a tight seal. Seems the chuck used is too deep for the valve stems on all my cars to grip with their clips detent; which uses the valves threads to hold it onto the valve stem. Maybe a defect w/mine but I have used it regardless and much easier than fill and use a separate pressure gauge. Accurate gauge so far just its chuck is too deep for making a seal w/the springed clip holder.

Ben: Works as advertised. Gauge is accurate and easy to reading with having a backlight.
I had to swap out the quick release connector for my compressor but its no biggie as I have a draw full of spares.
Works fantastic.

Regimantas: The batteries that was included with the tool happened to last just 5 minutes before they went flat. No big deal, replaced them with new ones and it holds up much better, should be fine for quite some time.
However the tip/connector of the hose that hooks on to the valve doesn't want to stay there most of the time so I have to hold it with hand while inflating tyre. Haven't tested gauge against any others so don't know how accurate it is, but shouldn't be far off.

ggordon: I bought this thinking it would be so much better than using an Inflator and a separate pressure gauge. I'm a stickler for tyre pressures being accurate, particularly when using maximum recommended pressures. I used this on our vehicle and motorhome, and I have 3 other pressure gauges that are remarkably close when measuring pressure (one is an Astro AI gauge) so I used them as a benchmark. This combi unit is anywhere between 2.5 - 3.5 psi out. Tried to get onto the Astro AI website and it doesn't work (502 bad gateway). Can't rely on it I'm afraid. It's a no from me.
UPDATE: I have had a replacement unit provided by Astro AI after Stella reached out to me regarding my original review. The replacement unit is a big improvement over the original item. The replacement is very accurate and now I can use it confident in the knowledge that what it states is a true reading. Thanks again to Stella for the replacement and follow up. Great item!!

JB3333: I use this on a Ryobi portable air compressor for car and bike tyres. I’m a bit of a tyre obsessive as I look after a few cars of my own, with summer and winter tyres, and have bikes running tubeless tyres which need higher air volume and flow speed to inflate and set up tubeless but use a different valve type.
Previously I’d used a mixture of bike track pumps for bikes and cars, and plug-in 12v compressors for cars, all with analogue gauges, and used a digital gauge to finalize and check.
Having had the compressor a couple of years I’d already fitted an analogue dial-type air gun trigger and swapped out the connector for a bike-type twin-head design with both schrader and presta fittings, but with the inaccuracy and finicky nature of needle dial gauges I was always checking with a separate digital gauge after inflating. Those are usually in 0.5psi increments for accuracy but easier to read than a dial.
This gauge reads to 0.1 psi and can switch between Psi, Bar, Kpa Kg’/cm etc. so it saves having to work that out, since cars often have different units stated.
The thumb-lever valve head isn’t great if you ask me, it’s a bit hit and miss unless you use it a...

Geo Seldes: First. The clamp on hose leaks 80% of the time (in my experience). Don't forget to put in the batteries. (If you leave them in, they'll corrode in the heat of your garage and eventually ruin the gauge). Struggled in the crisis trying to remember how it worked and to get the display to stabilize. I'll be tossing this, and start looking for the old 'manual' type with a needle on the gauge.
