Blake P: This is perfect size for what I wanted (gravity-fed water supply for car camping) but over time it has developed some kind of leak. I can't tell from where, and there are no cracks, but I keep this in the footwell of my car and there is often a little puddle under it, even when only half full.

Mark S: These work well but only last about 2 years before they start to leak either at the spout or the plastic container develops a crack. The typical retail price is $9.99 if you can find it locally. Kmart used to sell them and now Walmart sells this brand but not this 2 gallon size. They sell the larger / longer 2 1/2 gallon size for the same $9.99.

Hal Wagner: These are good water dispensers; however, the apparently common problem in shipping can cause leakage. The dispenser is usually shipped in a box with the spigot & handle at the top of the box, but the box is not tall enough to keep from pushing down on the spigot when box is loaded & taped. Additionally, any weight or pressure or impact on the top of the box can damage the plastic container around the spigot. I received one of these a year ago with obvious signs of pressure on the spigot & damage to the container as well as the cardboard box showing the spigot was being pressed on by the box. Test your jug when received.
One received today was also incorrectly packaged but did not seem to be damaged.

Trudy: I needed a new ice tea refrigerator jug. My old one was just a tad large for the new refrigerator and hubby wouldn’t make sure it was pushed back all the way on the shelf. Had it for at least 8 years and it finally cracked above the spout. The new fridge has the door in the door so shelving inside not as deep. Hard to find a 2 gallon jug to fit. This one fits better than the old one just a tad lower in ht and depth. No leaks and seems as well made as the last one. Measurement wise these are all front to back longer than stated measurements. I don’t know why the manufacturer can’t list the actual measurements as that would take the guesswork out of getting these. Mint fits so tight to the lid that I am unable to loosen the lid for allowing air in and keeping it flowing well. I heated up my ice pick and poked 2 holes in the lid and it works perfectly. One could use a drill but this was easier for me. :) I would definitely buy again but only time will tell if it will last as long as my first one from K Mart.

TheCheezWhizTheCheezWhiz: I like this container but had to remove one star because two containers were ordered and one was received broken. It was split above the spout and had no sign of shipping damage. That implies it was shipped that way.
I would not recommend using this for carbonated drinks unless the top cap is left open. The spout is not strong enough to resist the pressure created from the carbonation and will leak. I prefer my drinks without the fizz so it fits my needs fine.
Update Sept 2015:
The original two containers are still going strong. In the meantime, I've bought three more to use in the laundry room. They work great except for one minor point. Because the detergent and fabric softener are a bit viscous, they both want to drip a little after use. The solution is truly simple; just drab each one with an article of clothing to be washed before throwing it into the machine. It's like wiping the spout's runny nose.
All of the new containers were received in perfect condition. I'm chalking of the early failure to a shipping issue and giving this product its 5th star back.

ronda nueske: It literally sits on the counter and holds my spouse’s cpap water. It’s used once a day to dispense water for the machine. It doesn’t have folks pounding on it or using it harshly. And yet for the last three months it’s been leaking. Now it’s to the place where we need a different one as this won’t stop dripping constantly. There is no way to tighten it. Rather we just get to trash it. Don’t do it… pass right on by
