Cheryl Gunia: It's not a blanket. It's a very well made insulated tarp. Heavy black broadcloth one side (repels water and snow from getting inside) - the opposite side is thermal lining.
I use it to cover a shelter of a feral kitty. To protect her from the elements. Does a great job of keeping her area warm and dry.

Dani: This is a durable mid-weight survival blanket. I looked at many before choosing this one. I feel I made the best choice. I like that it has grommet holes for staking or tying to a tree for shelter. It's easily packed into it's storage sack and seems that it will last awhile. I like the multi-purpose aspect of the item. I wanted it for using as a barrier inside the tent for warmth and dryness. It didn't rain and my tent has a built-in waterproof footprint but I still wanted extra protection camping with my family (young child). The temps dipped at night and our sleeping bags are rated for warmer temps. I was mainly using this to reflect body heat while placed under our camping mat. Good purchase. Happy customer.

Lindsay: So, I bought these to help keep my camper bunk ends cool. Tried one to see how it went. Went so well I bought a second for the other bunk. We looked at the expensive might fit gecko ends but then decided to go this route. I get migraines in the heat but I LOVE camping so this saved me.
It was plenty large and went around the whole end for my. We used clips to clip to the tip top and then bungees to hold down underneath. And it significantly helped reduce the heat on my side of the camper we had reflective part out. I was amazed at how efficient it was just doing this! So now my summer trips are more bearable! We haven't needed to flip to keep in warmth yet. We like it cold and our camp season ends in Oct so we haven't gotten to cold yet. But we do know that it helps keeping the heat out when needed!!! I like the oversized ness of this one too. I'm very happy with this! Lasted the whole season of camping and still looks brand new. Just a pain to fold up and get back in the bag. Haven't zipped it back up yet. But oh well we use so often that didn't mind

Grace R: I bought the survival blanket last year and I use it as a mat under the air mattress for the tent. It works very well. Now this is the second one, I give it to my son for his tent.

R.W. Scott Crawford: Used this on a cold spring bear hunt. Left partially folded it's a great windbreaker cushion for sitting against trees/ logs, or in a chair stand. Opened-up it's plenty large to protect 2 people from rain and wind. Folds up nice and small, and comes in a zippered pouch of the same camo material. Definitely worth every penny when the weather turns ugly. Super happy with it.

SERIOTECH: It's a really good mylar tarp for any purpose. I usually use mine for under the tent while hiking or if I'm going to cowboy camp then under my mat so I can grab it if it starts to rain or just to keep the dirt off my mat and sleeping bag.

It comes with a nice pouch for it however I don't use the pouch for the tarp lol. I use it to keep my fluffy jacket and other items in to stay dry.

It does reflect up to 15% more heat back if you use it as a heat reflection wall near a fire than a wooden one per say like some bush campers do.

Fairly light weight for the size and quality. Usual quality like this comes at the price of being more heavy and most hikers will tell you, weight is the determining factor of whether or not you take something. But well worth it! Will save your floor in your tent and you in areas where a fire isn't an option.

Overall it's a tarp people lol. But a well made one! Best wishes for all! Hope this helps anyone looking.
