YariYari: I bought this intending to use it for one young female betta. My betta is still a baby but she loves it. I was a bit worried about the reviews saying that the filter was way too strong, but I cut a small piece of biofoam (you can find it for under $5) to slow the filter a bit and it honestly works perfectly. Again, my betta is a BABY and she swims EVERYWHERE just fine! It isn't glass (which I knew already) so it will scratch fairly easily, but as long as you're not actively trying to scratch it, you'll be fine. The light is a bit dim as well, but that's okay as I wouldn't want it to be too much for the betta anyway. The filter also isn't exactly silent, though it's not that bad. Overall, it's pretty good and provides a lot of space for the baby fish.

Amazon Customer: The filter was very loud. I was also worried by the power of it - and did not want my fish to be stressed or possibly risk having his fins nipped at by the filter. decided to keep the tank since it was good quality and came with a light but decided to replace the filter. Bought one from big als for $25.

Mary flynn: This is a very small tank but it is actually a great habitat for bettas. I did not use the divider, I made it for a single fish...but this little tank is doing amazing. I have live plants growing in it in the light actually works. This tank is been very balanced and easy. The filtration is a little strong for a betta, so I added a pre sponge filter to the intake and the tank stays crystal clear with me doing water changes once a week!! Great experience with the vendor, I got it quickly and it was so easy to set up! It would be worth reviewing and doing a video on for YouTube! I would love a shelf lined up with these little tanks for a cool betta display!

J SJ S: This tank is amazing & perfect for beginners. Everything about it is perfect. The reason this review didn't get 5 stars though is because of the divider. The divider isnt flush with the tank walls, so it leaves a slight gap at the front and back, allowing the fish to almost snap at eachother. Betta fish are fighting fish, hense why the divider is necessary, but this divider for this tank isn't great. I've had to buy another tank for one of them, as they're becoming stressed out. 10/10 for this tank, IF you're not putting 2 bettas in it.

AK: We have 2 Betta fish in the tank. Both males. They can both see each other even tough we have the divider and they constantly try and fight each other. Also I think the filter is a bit strong for a Betta. For some reason they prefer swimming at the top of the tank. It's a good tank but DOESNT come with a heater. That has to be bought seperately. Good overall. Probably better for 1 Betta.

Amazon Customer: For the most part the quality was OK, and assembly was good. However when it got to the top ring quality was poor at best. The design intent was the ring was to fit down over the top of tank. There was a lip all around to hold this in place to secure top with the tank. The ring was to small, and would not allow it to fit down. This caused the ring and top to rock and tend to slide off. I had to modify the ring by removing one side to allow ring to fit down and rest on tanks top. These are molded parts and apparently the molds were not checked for proper dimensions. Sloppy work and as consumers we pay the price. I am an Engineer and in my world this is not acceptable. Also being handy I can and did modify the part, not everyone that buys this will not have that capability. Although this did not break the bank STILL as a consumer I am disappointed. I would not recommend this product until the problem is corrected if ever. I also want to add the divider does not fit well, when fish was installed, keep in mind these fish do not get along, that's why the divider. So while watching happy to finally have them, one fish on each side of the divider, when...

Maggie Martin: The only thing I do NOT like about this tank is that the filter takes up a majority of the one side. Feeding the beta on that side is a bit hard becuase the food gets filtered to other side 1st.
You have to remove top to feed fish twords the back.
East to clean, the replacement filters are a bit pricey (paid $9+ for 3 or 4)
Compared to my 10 gallon where I can get 10 for $4.00
But I like the fact that both are my betas can see eachother, I feel like they are not lonely....😉

Glenna Yost: Great tank, plenty of room for 2 Bettas. The divider if put in properly is solid and doesn't move. Good sized filter, replacement filter pads are a bit pricy but other than that it's good.

QTrinhQTrinh: I bought this 2.5 gallon tank for the purpose of creating a small aquatic ecosystem for my betta fish, which I would say is worth the value for the money. This tank is prone to scratches if you are not careful in handling it because it is made of acrylic after all. The tank comes with a lid with lights attached and a filter which is relatively simple to put together; packet samples of water condition/dechlorinator and betta pellets included as well.

This tank is excellent for other small species of fish (besides schooling fish), however the only reason I would not recommend it for a betta reason being is because the filter that is included is too strong for a tank with such small volume as this. Bettas supposedly enjoys stagnant water which mimics its natural habitat for the most part and possibly because they are considered weak swimmers. A young betta such as the one I am raising is obviously struggling against the outflow current that the filter dispenses throughout most of the tank and therefore, he hides beneath the filter at a safe angle to prevent from being blown all over the place.
