It would run only when turned 3/4 of the way. But of course it would leak. No matter what I did when fully turned it would stop running. So I finally repositioned the housing and it finally worked. Please fix or make this more descriptive in the instructions.

Rod: I find these filters rather expensive, however they do need replacement after 6000 gallons. Easy to install.

Wei: There was no water flow upon installed. After calling the manufacturer, it turned out that the black filter is a little short. Return and replacement process with Amazon was swift. Now it runs as normal.

auraTeas: Have been using Aquasana for 6 years, best taste water! Although the filters need to be changed every 5 months or even shorter for the small ones, the water quality remains very consistent through out.

CNR: They are the long ones you need for the model I bought. Double check before you buy that you ordered the correct filtre size. Change them once a year but expensive. Reminds me of ink jet printers.

Morten: I have been using Aquasana filters for a few years now. First I had the smaller sized 5200 then I switched to the 5300. I have not had issues with either system, until the time came to replace the filters recently. Once installed, the first filter (the sediment filter) started leaking from the top. I confirmed that everything was tightened as it should be, but it was still leaking. I then put the old sediment filter back in, and the problem went away.
So, there's clearly something wrong with this replacement filter as it causes the housing to leak. Needless to say, a leaky filter is not confidence-inspiring, so these filters are going back, and I am switching to a different brand of filters.
I find it highly troubling that a replacement filter can cause the filter housing to start leaking. I have no clue why this is, as everything looked and felt the same when I closed the housing with the filters inside. But, after trying both the new and the old filter in the checking several times, it was clear that only the new sediment filter caused the housing to leak.

Bernadette Share: Love the Aquasana filter. Yes the filter is a bit expensive but the water tastes great. I highly caution that there will be some leaking in the first 12 hours when you replace them. I believe the new filters were adjusting and becoming saturated with water so it leaked a bit at first. I left a super absorbing towel to keep stuff from ruining under the sink. After that, working like a charm! I recommend!

penelope: I received my filter replacements and installed them (first replacement) after about 7 months. Replacement is easy if you have the tool, or strong hands. The water didn't flow out. I went to youtube and found that a lot of people are having that problem. The filter replacements in 2023 are a hair too short so you have to put washers underneath so the connection nipples at the top have pressure upward which allows the water to pass through to the next filter and the next. The problem on youtube was with the first filter. I started from the end and it ended up being the first filter. I guess I would be okay with this fix, except that the first filter is now leaking when it gets bumped. :( Defective filters. I am going to cautiously use this while I try to order replacements again to see if I can get a proper fit, but if that doesn't work I will be ordering a different brand of filtration system because THE OTHER DANGER TO USING THIS FIX...I just replaced all of the floors, baseboards, a lot of wall, and the kitchen cabinets in my other home because an old smaller Aquasana 3 stage filter split at the bottom and flooded almost my entire condo. That filter unit was old, maybe 6+ years....
