Steven6543: I am so happy with my purchase. Amazon matched up with the cartridge so no going to the store spending hours looking for the right product. Amazon matched, I was able to easily install and the look is fantastic. I ordered the brushed nickel which gives it the stainless steel type look. Definitely will recommend if you have American Standard cartridge.

SRSR: Quality replacement for the same basic fixture that was 15 years old... Easy to replace the with existing hardware on the newly tiled shower DIY project. Had to match the valve installed on the wall otherwise you must change out the wall valve (plumbing)

Ian Sharp: The quality of the mechanism itself is solid as you can expect with American Standard fittings. However, my unit was one color on the handle and a noticeably darker shade on the wall end. I simply lacked the patience to return it so I opted to live with a small cosmetic flaw.
Lastly, that temperature plate is not at all attractive in my opinion. Luckily the fixture still looks complete without it so I left that bit in the box. All in all a good replacement until it's time to do a full reno.

Kacper Prymicz: The American standard trim kit is great and looks good in my shower. Almost the whole thing is metal but there is a plastics indicator witch isn't too bad but it would be nice to have the whole thing metal. over all it is a good product of budget washrooms. I had it for 2 months now and there isn't any rust.

Daddy Fix: The plate is not round like the product picture and review pictures show. It is actually an oval shape. That made a difference, because the screw locations on my American Standard rough-in valve are at 12 and 6 o'clock. This will work only if the valve's screw holes are at 2 and 8 o'clock, else the plate will not be straight, given its oval shape. It's also a cheap piece of plastic. If I could just find a round version, it would work on my late 1980's vintage high-end American Standard rough-in valve.

100baffrooms: Came quickly and fit our shower valve! Correct options were not available at our local hardware store so this fit our immediate need. Shower handle and cover are attractive and matched our brushed nickel fixtures. Very clean and easy to install.
