My wife, daughter, and son all drive for various delivery services. As a protective husband and father, I want to be able to help should they ever have an emergency. God forbid something ever happens on a delivery, it would be nice to know where they are.

The Amcrest 4G LTE Tracker, combined with the Amcrest GPS Pro app, allow me to track our vehicle with ease. When the vehicle starts in motion for a new trip, I receive a text. When the vehicle has stopped at the end of a trip, I receive a text (no, I do not receive texts at traffic lights, stop signs, etc.). I can receive texts at other times if I wanted (like if the vehicle goes over a certain speed) but I do not have those options...

I had purchased this Amcrest 4G LTE AM-GL300W-4G GPS tracker for one purpose in mind: to track my daughter and her boy scout troop's location in real-time as they embarked on a 2300+ miles road trip from Northern Virginia to the Florida Keys for a snorkeling, sailing and scuba adventure at the Florida National High Adventure Sea Base (Boy Scouts of America) during the Christmas break. It was attached to my daughter's backpack and it gave us (and some of the parents from the troop that we shared the location tracking link with) the peace of mind and comfort knowing our kids' location anytime.

In that context, the tracker performed great, gave us all a peace of mind (which was the whole purpose of having this tracker) knowing where the troop was in real-time. Battery life of the tracker varies based on usage and was less than what was expected/advertised which we suspect was due to the frequency of the notifications (configurable) and usage, which you need to be aware of.

The device is good value, but the accuracy of the item's location can be slightly improved, although it is pretty accurate.

Paul: This unit works like they say it will. This unit connected with the cell and gps signals in less than 30sec. for me and that was sitting in the house with it. My unit is on my ebike and it is stored in an area closed in on 3 sides with a tin roof and stays connected. Once it goes into sleep mode it takes very little movement to wake it and to send me a phone message and an email. It works the way I want it to work if someone were to try and cut the locks the movement doing so will wake it and let me know. It is a little pricey for me as I live in Canada so you have to take the exchange rate into consideration on the monthly cost, but I believe it is worth it. I know if some one attempts to take it I will know about it. Yes I would recommend this and it deserves the 5 stars I gave it.
