ReneeRenee: The media could not be loaded.  After about 10 head bolts I saw the socket out running the pointer on the angle tool. The friction became weak between the clear bezel and the rubber washer riding in a groove on the angle tools driver.. So I simply glued the clear bezel to the rubber washer that rides in a groove on the angle tool. Now I can trust my readings. See the photo.
The black rubber washer is riding in a groove on the tool. The clear plastic bezel acts as the pointer. It relies on the friction transmitted through the washer to rotate with the tool, as the degree wheel remains stationary. I added several tiny spots of CA glue to the clear bezel and fixed it to the rubber washer, while the washer was still in the groove of the driver. Teresa M Higuera: The tool is as advertised. However, in reality it can not be used accurately due to the finger stop thingy being too flimsy. All plastic except for socket drive and finger/stop. This causes the stop to shift/twist as the socket and bolt is being rotated causing inaccurate degrees reading since the dial won't move while the stop is shifting or twisting. On a critical crank or head bolt this is the last thing you want. Could cause a bolt to snap costing hundreds to fix or equally bad could cause incorrect torque clamping force destroying an engine if a crank main cap comes loose or head gasket leaks. Better to mark bolts and sockets for correct degrees after torque. Save your money if you are diy or doing only a couple of engines. For professional shops get a digital torque wrench with the rotation degrees feature.

mr crazy guymr crazy guy: Easy to use. Does not take up alot of space. So it is a 1/2 inch drive based torque angle degree wheel. Alot of cylinder head bolt tightening sequences, or instructions call for a degree after torquing bolts. There are very expensive digital torque angle ratchets out there but it just seems like a foolish idea to me when you can use one of these. I used it for the first time yesterday working on a chrysler 3.6l engine. The instructions allow for dividing the torque angle into two attepts where added achieves final goal degrees. If you passed any basic math classes in school like addition them i would recommend this tool. Youll save up to around $1,000 if you use basic math. I used it on eight bolts and acheived the 130° angle with no problems. The holding bar is a bit of a challenge at first but after i fooled with it i found it doesn't have to be tight as long as it rests against say a spark plug tube or cMshaft tower. It take very little holding effort for the bar to hold. While you turn the ratchet or brraker bar you're turning the dial indicator while the numbers are held stationary by the little holding bar. Really this little tool is quite fun to use...
