Do not waste your money on these pieces of crap. They do t work as advertised and Alexa doesn’t respond. When you call Amazon about Alexa not working theybtell you to call First Alert. When you call First Alert about Alexa not working, they tell you to call Amazon.

I’m sorry I ever bought these.
I purchased the OneLink Safe & Sound Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector for multiple reasons:
1. All (but 1) of my Kidde detectors are 9 years old
2. 2 existing Kidde detectors no longer function
3. I have many of my devices automated using Samsung SmartThings and Alexa
I actually purchased just 1 to see if I would like it. So far, I do however, it could be better - I hope their next version(s) improve

Here are the benefits in the order that I value them (I'll go into detail below the list):

First I'll focus on what I get the most benefit from - these are AirPlay 2 speakers that take advantage of the fact your home has power wired to all of your smoke detector locations, which means every bedroom and most public spaces.
