Starship Trooper: This Book and The Bible together have kept me sober for 27 years. Not bragging, just offering help, I hope. How did I do it? The books,12 step meetings and the advice of a professional counselor or therapist at times. Plus "One Day at a Time" of course. You can do it, if you want it. If you mess up, just start going back to the meetings. We're all only human.

Kristy B.: I bought this to use in Overeaters Anonymous; just switch out the word food for alcohol or overeater for alcoholic, and the lessons still apply. We use it in group and I read it on my own. Lots of highlighted sections and it can be read over and over and over again. Of course, the dark blue cover and dark blue title, are great for not advertising what you're reading, if you like a little privacy.
