I use this as a you would a camping tarp. It's great for shade.
I have not had the opportunity to test it at the beach yet, but its made a good addition to my camping gear.

Lee: Ordered this with motorized boat, straw hat, and umbrella, all items came together delivered to back door as requested except umbrella- that tracking record said delivered to front door(on high foot traffic street) and of course MISSING. Very disappointed.
The blanket however is exactly what expected, light weight, easy to fold and store, great size, and bright colors. Comes with storage bag and stakes.
But where’s my paid for UMBRELLA

Lee Sa Dubja: I’ve spent years carrying around a heavy blanket or big sheet for the beach. This is much better! It’s lightweight, easy to fold and colorful. It comes with stakes, too, so no more searching for big rocks to hold the blanket down. It does not repel sand as much as I had hoped, but it does come off easily once it is dry. Bought one for my beach bag and one for my camper.

Nayva: It's basically a thin tarp, does not allow water to pass through. Any sand collected on it from the beach turns to mud. Horrible quality. I would suggest you take a hard pass on this purchase.

Karen: This is a very good lightweight mat for occasional use and I keep it in my bag as a backup mat, but it is definitely not waterproof or soundproof. The first time using it, we didn't realize the grass was damp and after sitting on it for 10min, water seeped through and got our pants wet. There's a layer of fiber pattern material for the bottom of the mat, which I guess is meant to be the waterproof material, not only that doesn't work, the material makes the sand stick to it and makes it really hard to shake it off.

SMS: This is so easy to stick in my beach bag! It is very thin, so perfect for the job I bought it for, reducing sand on my towels and beach stuff. It isn’t perfect in keeping sand away and sand does sick to it at the end of the day. However, it was cheap enough that all of that was okay. It just lives in the back of my SUV until it dries fully and can be shaken off. The stakes it comes with are easy to use and makes the whole concept possible.
