The Air King 9155 Window Fan is the perfect choice for your home. This low-profile design fits perfectly into a window opening, while its 16-inch blades provide powerful air recirculation. The front-mounted rotary control switch makes it easy to operate, and its build quality, customer service, and overall performance make it an unbeatable value for money. Enjoy a clean and breathable environment with the Air King 9155 Window Fan. MRA BrooklynMRA Brooklyn: Likes: Fan is heavy duty and well made, easy to set desired setting, pretty quiet for a fan that moves a great amount of air. Box fans, even twin fans cannot move air like this one! It mounts across the window frame where the fan does not interfere with the window movement. As you can see from the picture, the fan is in front of the window and allows the window to move freely behind the fan instead of fitting directly in the window-well. ** It would be nice though to have a version with the use of a remote control.
Tips: Open a non-fan window and put fan on exhaust and the air will rush in from the non-fan window; keep any window curtain away from the fan's front because they will interfere with the air flow. On intake, other non-fan windows will exhaust out air in other rooms to freshen them.

thecoffeeguy347: This fan is the bomb. If you’re thinking about it just go ahead and pull the trigger. We live in a 1000 sq ft apartment and I purchased this to put in our guest room hoping to save some money on A/C. I couldn’t be happier. The build quality is excellent, the install was easy, and the fan has some serious power. On medium it will pull a draft throughout the entire house. Some notes from my experience: Ditch the hole template and just put the fan in the window, mark where the holes need to be, and put the screws in yourself. I used it and it led to the holes being far enough off that the fan wouldn’t fit but close enough that the second round of holes were impacted. Secondly, the fan housing is prone to rattle as the window sill expands and contracts. It may not bother you but if it might, some closed cell foam tape used for sealing window A/C units can be placed around then perimeter of the housing before install. And for the people who said it was loud: what did you expect? It’s an industrial fan and a pretty quiet one at that. If you’ve ever owned a box fan it is about on that same level but will outperform it in every possible way. Highly recommend.

none: The fan is great and moves a lot of air but if you want it to be perfect I recommend spending 5 bucks at a hardware store for some thin 1/8 to 1/4 inch rubber stripping. the unit give off a lot of noise because the main unit vibrates against the expanding side panels. Putting a little peace of the above mentioned rubber strip between the main unit and the expansion panels and the vibration sound problem is completely solve this problem.
I also went a step further and got an insulation strip for the bottom of doors (it is a metal strip that mounts to the bottom of doors with a 1 inch rubber strip extending to the floor) and mounted it on the top with the metal strip on top of the fan and the rubber part gently pressed to the window of the unit to seal off the gap on top without effecting the ability to open and close the window. The top strip just seals the top when the window opens so that the suction is to the inside of the house instead of coming from the top of the window and right back out threw the fan.

Zoia: Spent more for an Air King fan thinking it would last longer but after just two years of use the fan no longer powers on and spins.

Pheebee: Negative air pressure ftw.
We have it installed in the 3rd floor attic window. All it takes is opening a window on the first floor, on the shady side of the house and the fresh air streams through the entire house. You can literally feel the breeze. It greatly helps cooling and airing the entire three floors. Would totally recommend it.

hikingfoole_85: 7/6/17 : Fan motor died last night. We got four years of seasonal use out of this unit. I installed it and left it in the window all year long. So for about 3.00 a month this unit saved me what we'd spend on electric for central air or 3 window units in our house + the initial cost of the AC units themselves. We think it was worth it. Will buy again.
This unit works the best if its kept clean. Ours got alot of dirt build up on the frame and blades. Also dirt accumulates on the window screen where air is pulled in from outside. If those three things are kept clean (Maybe 2 hours of clean up at the end of each season) the unit moves air like new each season.
May 2016: The first one we recieved was fryed, right out of the box. The box had a big dent in one corner. The fan itself looked fine but only 3 of its six speeds worked. The fan didnt have a template with it either.
Amazon shipped me a new one right away. The second arrived in better shape, no major dings or dents to the box. Some of the screws were missing so I had to pirate from the DOA fan. But it did have the template which made installation a snap.
The fan works fine now. Cools the downstairs...

Deborah J.: i run a computer store and occasionally i have to solder and or de solder part on electronic boards. before i had a cheap junky walmart window dual fan that hardly did diddly squat unless i sat right on top of it. so i decided to get the big guns with this fan! its works so much better than that old window fan even on low now i dont have to worry about the fumes getting to my face. for its size it actually pulls quite alot of air! and im impressed. id say my only complaint i nthe dial to change speeds feels like its gonna break when turning so i got a power bar set it to the speed i usually use it on and flip the switch on the power bar instead of the fan. over all a nice fan!
