Cliente Kindle: Em vez de apóstrofe, travessão, etc. , há um monte de caracteres estranhos. Acredito que seja problema de compatibilidade. Tentei trocar o tipo de fonte, mas não resolveu o problema. Tive que devolver o livro.

Paola K.: Dame Agatha! She did it again, with her fluffy old adorable Marple on the tow she dished out another sensational story.

Yamp44: I really love this book. The characters are fun, the story is original (and a bit tragic), and Miss Marple really shine here. A really good book to introduce yourself to Agatha Christie and/or to Miss Marple.

illiandantic: Agatha Christie's "A Murder is Announced" is a far better book than the previous novel ("The Moving Finger") in her "Miss Marple" series. The book grabs your attention right at the beginning and focuses on the mystery instead of on life in a small village. And, as always, the writing is very good. But, even though I enjoyed reading the story, I've got a couple of fairly big problems with it. First, and most importantly, what the murderer actually does is just plain silly. There's no need for it at all, and the methodology is ridiculous. Second, the confluence of all the highly unlikely events surrounding what's really going on is also just plain silly. Maybe one of these things could be justified, but there are several things happening here that are so unlikely that you might as well say "and then a miracle occurs." So, once again, I'm torn at how to rate a book. On one hand, I enjoyed reading it. On the other hand, it's a mystery and the solution to the mystery is pretty unsatisfactory. But, I guess I'll go with the enjoyable aspect and rate the book at a Very Good 4 stars out of 5.

Magnifying Glass: You see the lights go out; you hear the gunshots; you feel something hit you; someone is screaming; you feel yourself falling; you don't understand: this was supposed to be fun . . . . When the lights come back on, you don't see them, because - you see - you are dead . . . . Who were you?
Miss Blacklock, the owner of the house? Just before the lights went out, she had asked Patrick to serve the sherry.
Blacklock's distant cousins: Patrick or Julia? Patrick fancied pulling pranks and was quiet sociable. In contrast, his sister Julia had a serious nature and could be most exasperating at times.
Blacklocks's live-in friends: Bunny or Phillipa? Bunny means well, but Miss Blacklock overlooks her incompetence. Phillipa is good around the garden but someone is vexed by her pretensions of being more than a mere gardener.
Blacklock's cook: Mitzi? Her paranoia runs rampant, except when making her speciality: a cake you could just die for.
Neighbors: Mrs. Swettenham or son Edmund? To her, a "Murder Game" is exciting; to Edmund: he'd be bored to death.
Neighbors: Col. Easterbrook or wife Laura? He knows how to play the murder game; she knows how to...

cooperkat10: I recommend this book. The story moves quickly with a modest body count and several characters that are mistaken identity.
