Beth A Walser: I’ve had this book on my TBR for far far too long but I will tell you even as a late 30- something I took some valuable information away that I had not thought of before and/or had forgotten about.
There are parts that went very in depth and got a little long - which may have been why it took so long for me to tackle this book - but overall very well written

chisket: I had the honor of meeting the author at a writers conference, first as a participant pitching this book, then as a keynote speaker, inspiring others how she sold her book at the conference. Full circle success! Love it and love her. She’s a whole lot of awesome. 🥰

TheRempels: I bought this book as a "useful joke" for my daughter's BF who is turning 19. I chose it because when I read the preview, I found myself wanting to keep reading! (and I *am* an adult! LOL!). I have received the book now, but haven't yet given it - and have (gently) skimmed and read through it (and really enjoyed it)! It's well-written and engaging. I hope the recipient will love it as much as I have, and also will find it as useful as I have (as a bonafide adult myself, already!) LOL! I'd recommend it for anyone - not just those emerging into 'adulthood'. :)

Rachel P.: The media could not be loaded. There are multiple pages that are actually from a different book entirely so I’m missing several pages ☹️ overall the book is good but I’d prefer to have the whole thing.

MF196: So perfectly described! I love the structure by which this book was writen. Every adult woman should have this as a guide! I absolutely loved it and laugh so much! This is truly adulting 101, it cannot get more specific than this. Perfect idea for a gift as well! 😂

sbodnar05: Ok, so I want to address some of the negative reviews I've seen of this book. Things like, "Do you really need someone to tell you what cleaning supplies to buy?" And the answer is no, but there are so many other helpful things. I would have never thought to have a spare toothbrush on hand for when people stay at my house, but that is a great, grown up thing to do. I also love the way Kelly prioritizes things, like how to stock a kitchen. Economically, this is not an easy time to be a 20 something. She gives a list showing which kitchen supplies are most necessary to least necessary, and it makes figuring out how to stock a kitchen less overwhelming. The thing is, if you've been an adult for 10 plus years, I can see how it makes us sound stupid to not know how to do the things you do everyday. But with culture changing, more and more young people are moving into the adult world as singles. We don't have the support, financially or emotionally, of a significant other (or parents for many of us), nor do we have the option of being home and figuring out 'home-stuff' while our significant other works. We have a lot to learn in a lot of different areas of life, and we have to figure it...

Alicia: Why couldn't this book have been around when I was establishing my young life, away for my parents for the first time.? So with that in mind, I bought this book for my twenty-year-old son for Christmas. The book had great Amazon reviews, but I wanted to see for myself what the hoopla was about so I dipped into the book and scanned a couple of pages. Next thing I knew, I'm reading the entire thing and my son hasn't seen it since Christmas!
The author has a friendly, respectful tone and she goes into granular detail on everything: why tidy a home after a party? Why bother sweeping? How to deal with car insurance. When and how to clean out your washing machine (this was totally new to me). The author writes in a very familiar, hey-we're-all-in-this-together kind of way.
Very readable, very worth it.
