StarletteCode: Maybe helpful for other cats but not mine. This was supposed to be helpful and an inexpensive fix but my 10+yr old cat 11lbs was not having it. I got a medium which fit her well. Got it to keep her from scratching and irritating a cut on her cheek below her whiskers that she kept reopening and making larger. It seemed too heavy for her to hold her head up like too much extra plastic around her head. She almost hurt her neck bumping into things and trying to get it off. I tried waiting for her to get her motor skills to acclimate with it on and find her way around. She was disoriented naturally with it on but it was painful to watch her struggle and I was afraid to leave her unattended with it on to help her little issue. Her small open cut has finally healed but I would not recommend this. Just go to the vet or wait it out as long as her sore doesn’t get infected. Our vet was booked for weeks which is why I tried this and I regret it. Good news is she is healed now and I hope to never go through it again.

Ray: Our cat is 7months old 7pounds. This cone fit perfect. Our cat has been stubborn during her spayed healing process. This cone has been the best option for our cat. It has kept her more calm than the others we tried. It is the perfect size to where she can’t reach her wound.
We tried a different cone from the vet’s office. It was longer and white which I’m sure obscured her view.
Also tried a cat onesie. She could not lick the wound but she would sniff it and would freak herself out somehow causing her to jump and hurt herself.
she was too uncomfortable with both where she would constantly move around too much and at risk of opening her stitches.
