7freddie7: I almost purchased a new weather station until I came upon this replacement. My old one stopped working after seven years of use so I bought this. My weather station is as good as new and is working perfectly. Im very happy!

anniemaye renzie: I ordered the item that was listed online. Easy but it didnt work. Check with the company with the unit number and they will send the correct one. The whole operation was done quickly and worked well. I was very happy.

Theresa C.: Replacement sensor works great. It didn't seem to sync at first with the indoor unit - so I simply took the batteries out of the indoor unit for 3 minutes, let it reset, and it worked like a charm.

eric h.: Love Acu>Rite products.
Started using in 2008.
ALWAYS reads same as (or within one degree of) Weather.com in my area.
Consistently reliable year after year.
Only need to change out batteries annually.
( I use rechargeable "eneloops" )
Outside sensor should be wrapped in cellophane, and sealed inside sandwich sized
freezer bag before placement. (sensor isn't completely waterproof)
Inside sensor(s) will outlive outside unit.
Replacement cost for outside unit minimal.

Cascadiana: I was so glad to find a replacement sensor. We've had this forever, and really rely on the temperature gauge to know what’s going on outside our door . When the sensor went out, we thought all was lost - but were so glad to find this replacement, which works perfectly.

hycm53hycm53: The previously sensor no longer work even I changed batteries. When I get the new one, put the batteries in and I can see the red dot is flash on the sensor which means the sensor works.
Since there was no sensor for a couple days, so the weather station wouldn't received signal even the new sensor works, so I had to unplugged the weather station for a couple of minutes, then plugged in again and reset the date, etc. After these steps the weather station immedialty received single from the senser.

Carl Stubbs: To reduce expenses and to help protect the environment, in early 2021 our household started taking a number of measures to cut our energy consumption. Those measures have proven successful: total 2021 electricity consumption in our single-family, detached home in the US SE was about 8,000 kWh (3,200 of which was for HVAC), compared to about 11,000 kWh annual average in previous years. [UPDATE on 1/1/23: our total electricity consumption in 2022 dropped even further to just 5,500 kWh (1,600 of which was for HVAC) for the year. We have HALVED our electricity consumption. Huge savings. This sensor continues to operate beautifully.]
Our HVAC system screen shows us how much energy it uses daily/monthly/annually. It’s a useful monitoring tool. We use three other tools to help us understand our energy usage and provide us insights into steps we could take to save: a plug-in electricity usage monitor and a thermal imager (both discussed below), as well as our AcuRite weather station with two of these add-on sensors. Our AcuRite set-up allows us to monitor temperature and humidity in four places at once: outside, in our living room, in our crawlspace, and in our unfinished attic....

florida frank: So this is the 3rd replacement unit I've gotten for my weather station. Each of the previous units worked fine for about 2 years then each gave out for different reasons. But for the 2 years, a good product replacement for your weather station.
