This Forehead Thermometer is the perfect choice for both adults and kids! It offers touchless infrared technology for easy and instant readings, and its LCD display makes it easy to operate. Its non-contact design makes it possible to take readings from a distance of 3-5cm away from the surface. This thermometer also features an automatic power-off design that helps conserve energy. Rated best in overall performance, accuracy, battery life and type, this is one of the best thermometers on the market.John M Dye: my nurces love it

Valeily: It is a cheap quality stuff. The accuracy is low!

dEfyantdEfyant: I love the design, ease of use, and convenience of this thermometer.
I'm currently rating it 4 Stars (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) for accuracy because it seems to be rather accurate, but I can't actually attest to that as fact until I have a chance to test it against a manual "contact" digital/mercury thermometer.
I'm also rating "easy to read" 4 Stars (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) because you really need to be reading the screen of the thermometer from a fairly direct viewpoint – attempting to read it from any kind of angle (eg. from slightly above or from either side) renders it almost entirely impossible to see clearly.
It is, however, extremely easy to hold, handle and operate! If a younger person is able to understand how close/far a distance of 2 inches is and can read numbers, it's my opinion that this thermometer can be successfully used by even a child.
Turning it on requires nothing more than a very light pull of the "trigger" button; and it turns itself off within seconds - maybe a little too quickly. Push a slider on the side of the unit to either the left or the right for BODY temp or SURFACE readings; place it the proper distance from a forehead or an...

Kindle Customer: I have been tracking our family's temperatures using a digital temple thermometer (DTT) in contact with the forehead as well as this IR unit aimed at the same spot on the forehead. I have recorded both temperatures measured within 30 seconds of each other for two months during which I acquired twenty pairs of measurements at different times of day. The averages differ by only 0.1 degree F in the device's "body" mode.
For evaluation of the "surface mode" I used a NASA-calibrated research-grade IRT as the reference and generated thirty-two pairs of measurements for various surfaces ranging from 40 F to 125F. The averages for the two instruments differed by only 0.5 F despite the lack of consistency in the emissivities of the test surfaces and the wide temperature range.
The device is point and shoot - the only cautions are to be sure the mode switch is in the body mode and the instrument is pointed at bare skin on the forehead or temple for fever measurements.
For reading IR temperatures of objects, set the mode to "surface" and point at the object. Keep in mind that the IR temperature depends both on the thermodynamic temperature and the surface IR emissivity....

Must Love Dogs: I recently got this thermometer form my mother in law who is 91 years old. She needed something easy to use. I have a Braun forehead thermometer (which is touch - not infrared), so I compared the temperatures and this thermometer was off by 0.4 degrees, which made me suspicious. I decided to read the manual and I found information on how to calibrate the device, which is very easy to do: you are suppose to use another thermometer to measure your temperature, and then use this one. After finding out the difference of the temperatures you can add or subtract degrees in the programing menu and that will do the trick.
Also, it can be use for both C and F - which is great, since my mother in law does her readings in Centigrades. Another heads up - as soon that you put the batteries and turn it on for the first time, the letter M will blink on the screen. You have to then follow the prompts (look at manual) to set up the scale (F or C) that you want to use.
I am glad I found this thermometer because I tried few different ones (one from Amazon that was so bad that when I decided to write a review about it the product was no longer listed), one from Walmart ( I couldn't even...
