This wasn't even remotely close to getting an accurate reading. I took it to the doctor's office to make sure that I was using it properly. When I initially used it, the reading was so high that had it been accurate I would have ended up in the ER. Fortunately, I know my body well enough to know that my pressure wasn't that high, but I went to the pcp the next day just to make sure. My BP was normal.
