Stefan Karakashian: I'm using this for a welding fume extractor hose. It's wire reinforced, surprisingly light, so it can take the 5 ton furnace blower's cfm which is 3000 cfm, just fine.

Retired Old Guy: It looks like it will work fine. Tolerance is close, so it fit snuggly, not real easy to slide on, but that could be a plus.

Kevin Harrison: Would have been 5 stars, but from the description I had thought it would have been more rigid aluminum and less black plastic-foil type. Other than that tho it seems durable enough for a vent and I think will last in my application. Wouldn't use it for any kind of above air heat like hood vent or anything. Or in a high traffic area. But would recommend it for attic venting and the like
