Tay: I bought this to secure me seat to the frame. the length is perfect however the other reviews about this being "light" are wring. This is a chain. It works for the purpose I bought it for.

dave b: Very good for what it is intended for: a light weight, low-security lock. I take it on bikepacking trips when I only need to lock it for a few minutes at the grocery store in a small town. It weighs nothing.

jaybo: I could see the item in the picture was not what the description detailed. So I took a chance thinking the combination part was hidden. Other reviews were of some other chain lock from the same manufacture. But it does come with 2 keys as advertised, and no combo. My fault Ha-ha. Just going to use it to secure the bike cover to the bike.

Mindcontrol: Do your research online. I used to use cables to secure my seat. If you are using this to secure your seat then I would choose this over the OnGuard Akita. Also, this is an Abus. Abus is top quality. In fact all of my U-locks are Abus. They are much better than Kryptonite. The 60cm should be sufficient length for your saddle. If you want to use it for a front tire-to-frame then I'd recommend the longer one that Amazon offers. If you are a gram counter then stick with the cable. I'm not sure how heavy this is but I'd say it's probably 2x as heavy as a cable, but that doesn't bother me for my riding purposes. I use this to keep my Brooks saddle safer. Ultimately nothing can stop thieves, however this does give me a greater peace-of-mind then some of the saddle cables available.

RobbsterRobbster: This is the perfect length to reach from my bike seat to my frame, with just enough slack to still mount my under-saddle bike bag (see photo). Really appreciate that there is no wasted length in this application. I've also secured my bike bag to this lock via stainless steel zip ties, making it a bit more likely that the bag will stay in place as well. The final thing I have looped through this lock is a custom cut SS cable to secure my TiGr lock  TiGr mini Lightweight Titanium Bicycle Lock with Mounting Clip to the bike if I don't use the TiGr in certain locations. I carry both a TiGr and the ABUS 10mm (links) x 120 cm Brooklyn noose chain  Abus Brooklyn Bicycle Chain Lock, 120cm/10mm , but only use both when the area is really sketchy. The noose chain is easier to use being longer, so I use it most often, but I don't want to lose my expensive TiGr to someone who just walks up and pulls it out of the mount, hence this solution.
