Nico: This lock has some weight to it but its a solid bike lock. Thick chain under a quality cover so no scratches to the bikes. I mean if someone really wants your bike, bolt cutters would get through this but it won't be an easy grab. I would recommend.

luconlineluconline: Thieves crowbarred into a locked garage during the day and easily cut through this lock (see picture). It’s a weak point in the lock mechanism. Probably not worth the money; we’re certainly not going to use the other ones we have on the bikes that survived the burglary. (And we didn’t use this type of lock when locking bikes outdoors — it was just for inside the garage as a deterrent, but it obviously wasn’t much of that. You need something much better for out and about in the city.)

Sam: good lock but after about a 2 months it will start giving you trouble unlocking it. Had to get mine cut off, will not buy this brand again.

DLeon86: Yes, it weighs a bit, but if you have a small enough waistline (mine is 28in, the chain is 32in), then you can transport it that way, or wrap it around your seatpost (this is the way I carry mine). Honestly it doesn't weigh much more than my U-Lock though. Anyway, I live in LA and this is great for when you need to make a few stops and leave your bike for a couple hours or so. At night, I store my bike in my home, so I don't worry about having to leave it out overnight. But I have been to more sketchy areas and left my bike locked with this lock, and I can say that as long as you know what you are doing, you will be fine with this lock. I make sure to wrap it through my frame and wheel and then tie it before actually locking it.
As far as locking and unlocking, honestly it's not that hard. I saw others complaining that their keys get stuck, etc etc. It says right there on the little attention label attached with the keys that you need to make sure the key is inserted to the bottom of the cylinder before turning it. Nothing too complicated about that. I was able to get in and out of the lock with no issues. If it tends to get stuck, you could also probably put a drop of lube...
