BillyBilly: Lightweight and easily fits in a laptop pouch without adding bulk. Just works on a bunch of different devices to add an Ethernet port without needing to do any configuration or setup. Will buy again if I lose this one.

joe - PA, now OH: This is the 1st one I bought, but it has consistently be accurate on the speed. The other I paid more for and the speed was 300+ less, But this one shows 1gig+ every time. I recommend it to anyone !

evan colvin: Even though it is not very expensive, the quality makes it feel like it is worth a lot more. Set up is very easy you just plug in and you're good to go. I wanted to hook up my iPad to an ethernet cable and it worked like a charm.

Bill D.: When initially received, it wouldn't work with my computer and I contacted support. After not hearing anything, I wrote a review indicating the lack of support.
I was subsequently contacted and found that their first response was filtered out.
They shipped a new adapter and upon arrival, I tried it with the same result. I then tried using it on another laptop and it worked fine, indicating an issue on my Dell Inspiron. Sure enough, there was an issue reported in Device Drivers. The device is failing to start, so it renders the usb network adapter unusable. I'm trying to get assistance on this, but appears to be localized to this one laptop and not an issue with the network adapter.
If you purchase and do encounter an issue, check your device manager and under Network Adapters see and issue with Realtek USB GbE Family Controller, that's the issue I still have.

Dan: This Ethernet USB-C connector works as it should.
My usage is only as a back up in the WiFi on my router plays up so I can connect, diagnose and reboot the router.
For that it works fine and is value for money.

J. HilliardJ. Hilliard: Originally looked at this as a testing device to see if an Ethernet cable was having an issue. Then I got to thinking about using it backwards. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ and saw that I have an option for Ethernet tethering but it's grayed out. I wanted to know if I could use this as an output to get internet from my phone to a computer or router. The answer is YES. I have an old Windows XP laptop that I'm going to install Linux on pretty soon but I plugged the Ethernet cable into it, and it works. I plugged this into my USB-C port on my phone and I had the option to turn on Ethernet tethering. I plugged the Ethernet cable into my Windows XP laptop and it Instantly recognized it and connected.
Note; the hotspot didn't show any devices connected when I had the Ethernet cable connected like it does with a wifi connection but it was still working without the laptop being connected to a Wi-Fi network.
Didn't see any reviews mentioning this so I thought I'd share.
