C. Michael: I bought it under $200, it assembled easily, and it seems sturdy and functional. Four 16"x16" paver blocks and a couple of bigger potted plants placed on top of them make for an inexpensive base weight. The only issue I had was that the plastic piece that covered the arm to the base arrived broken. Customer service was responsive to my request for a replacement, but I have not seen it yet nearly 2 weeks after contacting them.

FatcatXK: First day and it seems solid. Instructions could be a little better but not bad.

Wish it was 1-2ft taller. The bar connected to the base seems to easily be able to be longer and there seems to be a step adjuster that was meant for it to go higher but doesn’t exist in this setup.

Jkeepgoing: Overall this seems like a solid and sturdy umbrella, and time will tell how it stands up to the weather and use. The included fastener package came open during shipping and I had to replace 4 missing washers. The plastic cover of the base cracked like others have similarly reported. This could be significant with time since it prevents rain shelter for the underlying rotating base. Finally, the recommended base for this product is pricey, and we found a Pellebant base that was almost exactly the same for less money and WITH wheels at Home Depot. For anyone else looking, the Pellebant-220-lbs-3D-Surface-Stylish-and-Modern-HDPE-Patio-Umbrella-Base-with-Wheels-in-Black-PB-UB008BLK/321377405 is almost an exact replica of the recommended base with the proper hole alignment out of the box, and it has wheels. Also don’t discount the value of the wheels. With sand and water, these bases are HEAVY. It helps a great deal to be able to tip and roll it when needed.

Jazzie: This is one of two umbrellas I purchased, and both durned out great!

I was nervous to buy such a big umbrella online, but I'm glad we did! This umbrella is really worth it. The turquoise color looks so pretty on our patio, like a little beach at home.

The umbrella's fabric is strong and really good. Even under the hot sun and rain, it's doing great. No fading or leaking at all! (about two months in, fingers crossed) The double-top design is a winner. The top vent helps with the wind, making the umbrella more stable.

The frame is light but feels strong, not rusty at all. But you need to remember to buy a base separately. It needs to be heavy, at least 220lbs, to hold it steady == we went with a 300lb+ one..

One of my favorite things is being able to change the umbrella's angle and rotate it 360°. This is great when the sun moves around during the day. You just step on the foot pedal and twist the pole to move it. Simple!

Putting it together was easy, and everything was there in the box. Just a tip, close the umbrella when it's very windy to keep it safe.
