Aaron: I am upset that I had to buy the lid separately for the aquarium but this is a sturdy lid. It is made of solid glass and the handle comes with an adhesive to attach it. The lid fits in the top of the tank but if you are using any tank technology, it will sit unevenly.

Allen: Purchased for my goddaughters first mossarium and the fit wasn't a complete seal for the top. The edges were sharp and easily fixed both the fit and edges with some old air line tubing and E6000! Just cut length and a little more for covering the corners, a little adhesive at a corner and slide the tubing from end up to corner, save the longest tube for last and push extra over the ends of the sides, glue and clamp. The lid is snug but easily removed and I don't have to worry about damage to the lid when removing, my clumsy hand not my goddaughters! Highly Recommend

MicinMicin: I'm using this on a gifted 2.5 gallon. I noticed that the previous owner cut a bit of the plastic on the rim. If you zoom in on the pic, you can see it and how the lid slides over just a smidgen. This allows just enough room for an airline hose but not enough room for a jumper. At first I was disappointed that it didn't hinge, but it's really not a problem since I don't have a light or anything. The 2.5 gallon looks like a mini 10 gallon and its just super cute!

Amazon CustomerAmazon Customer: Fits my 2.5 gallon Aqueon fish tank. Just like everybody says it does not slide, it is just a piece of glass with a handle. But it works for what I need. It fits enough, it is a little raised because of the heater cord and air bubble hose. But there is such a little gap that my betta won't be able to swim out, or at least he hasn't tried. The adhesive for the handle is very strong. Its been months that I'm using this lid with multiple lifts everyday when feeding and it is still holding up pretty good.

Marina Keyzer: I realized after I bought this that it fits a 2.5 gallon perfectly so my filters or anything going into the tank won't work with it because it won't lay flat. I still use it because I have mystery snails who might climb out so I just put it on top of the tank and slide it back until it bumps into the filter pump, it leaves a 1/2 inch gap but that's okay with me! Moral of this review, remember it fits SNUG and any tubes or wires can't go into the tank if you want it to lay flat!!
