Moore. What you’re actually paying for here is someone else’s book disguised as something else.

AngstMan: I'm not sure what editions the other reviewers were referring to but this review is related to the hard cover edition (978-1947844155). The original poem by Moore is only 500 words long... that's right, 500 WORDS. The edition this is based off, as stated in the description, is of the 1849 edition, which had about 20 'woodcut' illustrations. This is not an edition that has been updated with modern cartoonish illustrations and pictures to try to artificially bloat it into something bigger. It is basically the classic, and ONLY the classic, just the way it was. Since the original was so short, if you're looking for something more collectible, definitely get the hard cover. It feels better in the hand. Bottom line, for what this is... a straight up reproduction of the original... you can't do much better.

lilysmom: I don't know what I was expecting for such a low price, but not a tiny paper back. I wanted to save it so it could be passed on. I guess you get what you pay for. I like the look of vintage book, just wish the quality of the little book was better. Story itself is old time original. May look for a different version.
