Travel "Three Weeks with My Brother" by Nicholas and Micah Sparks is an inspiring travelogue and collection of essays that is both easy to read and understand. It offers an outstanding binding and page quality, making it an ideal choice for those looking for a thought-provoking journey. With its genre of travel, this book is sure to provide an enriching experience.Nana Smith: I was loaned this book by a friend and was surprised at the similarities of my life with Nick's life, growing up. When you go through a tough/somewhat challenging life in your younger years, you really connect with your siblings, maybe even moreso. I enjoyed reading about Nick and his brothers adventure on this trip around the world and then it would jump back to their lives growing up. After recently caring for my parent's, they both 'passed' within 3mos of each other. My two sisters and I disagreed on how to care for 'mom' (stepmother of 55yrs) and it caused a HUGE rift between us. Reading this book as I was still going through grief of my parents 'passings' and estrangement from my sister's.....I cried a lot! I laughed at experiences of Nick/his siblings growing up and remembering mine/my siblings experiences and then the next chapter, I cried and cried over things happening to Nick/his family as well as crying over MY grief. This book is AMAZING! Whole is not a book on grief....it helped me SO MUCH. I purchased two copies of this book and sent to both of my sister's; they loved it also!

Vivian: I was a little hesitant to order or read this book, but I'm so glad that I did. At one point in my life when I was reading his books I became upset over how many of his characters had such a hard time in life and had lost a pet, a family member or a friend. This book explained it all and now I understand. This book let's us not only travel around the world with him and his brother but also travel with him through his life. Thank you Nicholas for such an awesome book. It touched me deeply. Wish I could say it in person, but this will have to do. Now I have to go back and reread all of your books with a new perspective. Keep writing and I will keep reading!

Jennifer: The book was more beaten up then it looked in the picture. But a good read.

A Constant Reader: I had no expectations when I started this book, so I cannot say I had any disappointments. I owned a used book store for several years, and Sparks books perennially sold very well, and several customers told me they thought this was better than his fiction. No one ever told me anything about what sort of book it was or what it dealt with, so the only thing I had to go on was the cover blurbs. I had the opportunity, so I gave it a try. The writing is very good (not having read any of Nicolas Sparks' fiction, I cannot compare it to those). The title and the blurbs led me to think I was going to read about Nicholas and Michael Sparks' time spent together. What it turned out to be was an extremely light reporting of their 3 week 'round the world tour (not a lot of information and very little impressions) serving as a platform for extensive autobiographical flashbacks. As such it was an interesting vehicle to construct an autobiography around, and the autobiography itself was interesting and engaging - much better than most I've read. Like good fiction, I was anxious to read on and find out how things turn out (I won't give any spoilers). It claims to have been jointly written, and if...

Susan Jane: A poignant book about family life and the interaction between Nicholas Sparks and two siblings growing up in 1970's and 1980's. Nicholas Sparks was lucky to have a mother who clearly understood sibling rivalry and how to deal with it. It's obvious that life was not always easy, money was sometimes short, and in Nicholas's case, he seems to have suffered from Middle Child Syndrome e.g. feeling unloved, especially one Christmas when his older brother and young sister got shiny new bikes and he was confronted with his old bike having had a spruce up! The family holidays, such as they were, made me shudder. Sparkes's mother did him the biggest favour one summer, when noticing that he was bored and a little depressed because of an injury threatening to put paid to his sporting ambitions, she bid him to do something, anything, "Write a book"! Fortunately for this best-selling author's many fans, he took her advice. Sparks writes movingly about the tragedy that later visited his family when in quick succession he lost his beloved mother after she fell from her horse; his clever, sometimes difficult father was killed in a motor accident and his adored sister died of a brain tumour. How...

Alexandrine: OMG! This book nearly broke my heart! I was crying like crazy while reading it and I understand Nicholas Sparks and his books so much better.
My first Nicholas Sparks book was "Safe Haven", I bought it at the airport in Brussels, when I was bored out of my mind waiting for a plane. I enjoyed the story, although I thought it was a bit weird. Then, while staying in Brussels in a bookshop I saw more Nicholas Sparks books. I bought them one by one. First was "The Best of Me", then "The Last Song" and then "A Walk to Remember". After reading them I still wasn't sure if I like Nicholas Sparks or his books. I found unbearable that so many bad things, horrible things, unexpected things in his novels happened to good people. There was something that struck me as wrong with his novels, people treated badly, people dying. Why he created characters and situations like that?
Now I know the answer: he was writing about the world as he experienced it. He was not simply creating fancy tearjerkers to earn money. He was writing about his own life. To suffer so many loses and heartache... It is devastating. After finishing this book I joined his newsletter and plan to buy more of his...
