Linda: I was on the edge of my seat so many times reading this story. How much bad karma can a person handle? It was a crazy but true story!

Denny: I could totally relate to this story both in place and time as I too had some experiences in Mexico that in hindsight probably wouldn’t happen today. Paul’s youthful naivety meeting adversity and adventure really struck a chord with me!

(Maybe the editor played a large role, maybe not.) It's still a little rough around the edges, but I read the entire book within a few days, because I didn't really get bored with it at any point.
The book was partly interesting to me because I've personally visited the primary destination in the book (Michoacan, La Ticla, and El Faro) and have also been to Mexico generally many times.
