Nicole: I am new to the idea of dairy goats and wanted a book that will go over everything.. I believe this is the book. It explains everything nicely, even the subjects that are controversial among the dairy goat community and gives opinions on all sides (such as dis-budding, line breeding, home remedies and vaccinations). The pictures and diagrams and charts are very nice quality, especially the charts for food selection. I learned a whole lot and now feel much more confident with my decision to purchase a heard of my own. I know I will be referencing this book in the future when I encounter some of the situations it spoke about. The only thing I wish it expanded on more would be the different breeds. There is little information about them and what makes them different and how to choose what breed is best for me. I found a website which helped me pick a breed of choice. I would still recommend this book to anyone who wants to learn about dairy goats.
