Aditya Basu: It gives an overall overview of the equity crowd funding process in a nice concise manner. It lacks case studies which o hope the author will include in future editions.

Big Jon C.: I am going to re read this book as it is important for me to cover the SEC and legal aspects of crowdfunding.

Dave: He has many factual errors in this book. This does not seem like a book written by someone who has actually DONE an Equity Crowdfunding campaign themselves. For example, he says that a Title III Regulation Crowdfunding Campaign (also called Reg CF) will cost "between $50,000 - $150,000 in legal and accounting fees." Uh, no. I did 2 campaigns myself, and I started with only $2,000 in funds and raised over $1 million. My legal and accounting fees were less than $5,000 overall!

According to the author info, he has never done an Equity Crowdfunding campaign, only Kickstarter and the like (which are very different). Go to StartEngine or other Reg CF portals and you can find out all the basics about Reg CF from people who actually know. You can also search the web and find articles and videos by people who have actually done it.

There has yet to be a must-read book on Equity Crowdfunding. In the meantime, visit the portals and read RECENT articles -- that's where you'll find the useful information

Kevin Luster: Dropping a note that the Kindle version is missing a bunch of embedded images from about halfway through the book. Confirmed on Kindle device, iOS app and Android app. Doubt Amazon will fix so hoping author follows up with them

Jonny Price: As usual, Sal breaks down the still relatively new and complicated concept of Regulation Crowdfunding in clear and simple terms. Great overview of which entrepreneurs should consider raising through Reg CF and why.

Amazon Customer: This ebook is a helpful guide if you want to learn about equity crowdfunding and how to become an investor in startup companies. I liked the examples and background info. Great read and simple enough for beginners to understand.
