The Snapper XD 82V MAX Electric Cordless 21-Inch Self-Propelled Lawnmower Kit is the perfect choice for those looking for the best Battery Mowers on the market. Featuring an 82V lithium ion 2.0Ah battery, this mower offers longer run-time than the competition. Additionally, its compact vertical storage capability makes storage a breeze. The 3-in-1 mowing deck provides mulching, side discharge, and bagging options, allowing you to efficiently mow your lawn in no time. With its superior build quality, customer support, and design, this mower is sure to exceed your expectations. Dawn McVey: I've had the Snapper 82V Self-Propelled Mower for right at a month now, having mowed every 4-5 days due to sufficient rain volume to keep the grass growing at a pace faster than a normal mid-summer in the Midwest. I chose to purchase on Prime Day at a price that was slightly lower than anywhere else I could locate the mower online. I had shopped battery-powered mowers for quite awhile & chose the Snapper because of its higher voltage than most other current models available & my desire to assure comparable power & sufficient battery life to complete my .45 acre lot without having to interrupt the process for battery charging. Though not perfect (is ANY "affordable" mower?), overall, I am very satisfied & happy with the decision to make the switch from my heavy, gas-powered/self-propelled, 9 year-old Toro, which was having starter issues & in need of what would have been substantial repairs.
There are differences in the final results & some quirks in operation, as other reviewers have pointed out. Here are thoughts on those specifics that I've identified so far. I hope they are helpful..................
1) Cut quality----I have mulched only so far,...

Robert Alan Koeneke: I like my battery weed eater so much, I decided to buy a battery mower. The process of selecting one took me months. I finally decided on the Snapper mainly due to the brand reputation over the other brands I hadn't heard of before. The transition from a 20 year old gas two-stroke mower to the new electric has been...interesting.
(NOTE: I hate reading directions, so yes, I deserve everything I got)
The mower came in a taped sealed box and I could hear rattling inside - not a good start. I opened up the box expecting to see a previously returned mower, but this mower looked like it was packaged as originally shipped, and I saw nothing amiss. After emptying the box and scouring it for loose parts, I found a plastic bag with a single plastic hand nut in it, and three plastic hand nuts and three bolts loose in the bottom of the box. Weird. The bolts had been loose and rattling about so I worried about damage to the mower body, but I discovered nothing amiss in a fast eye scan.
I started assembling the mower - each bolt fit into the handle and a plastic hand nut is used to tighten the handle parts together. All was very easy until I discovered...I only have three...

Michael L. Muth: When my old self-propelled mower bit the dust, I looked around for a self-propelled electric mower. This one seemed to fit the bill. As it turns out, well...kind of.
Battery life - I got 30 minutes, not 45. If I keep the mower, I'll shell out for the 4 amp battery so I can have an hour or so.
Assembly was pretty easy. One screw didn't want to fit into place easily, but it just took a little time. Otherwise, pretty easy. No tools needed.
Cutting. It cuts well. Even deep grass gets cut, although pushing through deep grass caused the self-propel function to stop - apparently from overheating.
Now, about that self propel...My throttle has only one speed. Mind you, i can move the throttle to various speed settings. It's just that there is really only one speed and I can't move that fast and popping wheelies with the lawn mower isn't really all that cool.
I downchecked maneuverability because you have to shut down in order to roll backwards, unless you haven't used the self propel function. In my yard, being able to roll backwards is *very* important.
Update:
I'm farther along the learning curve and I like the mower better. I still have that problem with self-propel...
