CallMeSnufflesCallMeSnuffles: I specifically got this product because I have a 16 year old cat who has become very picky with her water. She would sit and yowl before drinking out of her old water dish and then wouldn't drink very much of it. I set this up yesterday and I had it set up and running within about 15 minutes. I showed it to my cat and she immediately took a nice long drink from it and has been drinking much more than she normally does and she has completely stopped yowling before drinking. The instructions weren't super detailed but were good enough. It's very simple to put together. The only thing I didn't like is that there is no line on the inside or the outside to tell you the max fill level. So you just have to eyeball it. The cord is nice and long which is great. I like that it came with a silicone mat. The light on the inside makes it easy for the cats to drink at night and it makes it even easier to see the water level. It also came with two different size cleaning brushes and a total of 3 filters. I was also very surprised with how quiet it is. I thought you would at least be able to hear the water trickling down but you can't even hear that. Overall I am very happy with this product so...

SilkwanSilkwan: The media could not be loaded. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with a pet, especially cat owners. This is a must-have item if you have a cat that has UTI problems. My cat could not urinate or defecate for almost a week just from diet change. That prompted me to get this fountain. My cat took immediately to this fountain and was back to normal within a week of usage. My cat was so happy with this fountain, he literally thanked me for it!
It was not uncommon for me to find his water bowl empty at the end of day because my kids did not check it regularly. This fountain takes care of that worry as long as you don’t let the water level go down to pump level.
It is easy to follow directions on instruction pamphlet (illustrations) to assemble. However, the important thing is, you must be religious about cleaning the water pump. If the fountain gets really noisy even after changing the filter, the pump needs to be cleaned. I find myself having to clean the pump at least every other week since I have a long-haired cat. A H: With the hotter than normal weather (heat index has been greater than 100° F,) pets must have accessible, plentiful, and clean water. I have an older style pet water fountain, but wanted something that was as appealing to my cats as it was functional. I took a chance on Comsmart's 81 ounce Cat Water Fountain and I am so thankful I did!
I received my fountain and it took less than a couple of minutes to set it up - all the while as my cats curiously surveyed it and what I was doing. The minute I plugged it in, they were jostling for position to see which would get to try it first. From the eldest, at 18 years, to the youngest, at 2, each began drinking from it and coming back for more. I have never seen them drink this much water - ever!
What I discovered, just three days later, is their coats are wonderfully silky and sleek again. The kitties with allergies stopped nipping at themselves and fur tugging. Their appetites increased and they are well-hydrated again. Although I had several bowls of fresh water available to them, they were just not drinking enough - still water accumulates dander and dust and anything else from the floor.
