Mamaphive: I purchased these specifically for making French macarons. I have since bought a gel product as these didn't give me the intensity of color I wanted. I guess I will just plan to use more (half a container?) to get the color to show. I used about a teaspoon to color my batches but was reluctant to use more for fear that I'd ruin my meringue. These will probably suffice for other recipes, just not intense enough for what I needed.

Helen A. Gordon: My macaroon kept failing till I found this color unit. They are perfect...good for being heated and do not cause my macrooms to drop (no oil in color base). I would highly recommend these for macaroon makers or any coloring that needs to be cooked. I will order again.
