Used as directed with included waffle recipe and with our usual waffle mix - neither made edible waffles.
1. Set on Max heat. Circus of red lights, green lights, both lights, 12 minutes to get to temperature for baking.
2. Included recipe made nearly a gallon of batter that was VERY thin. After 20 minutes on max result was an incompletely risen, gooey in the middle non-waffle. Second attempt did crisp a bit on the bottom but even after flipping the unit the top remained pale and the middle incompletely cooked.
3. Usual mix recipe did better but was still incompletely cooked after 10 minutes.
4. Adding more batter to attempt to make a completely risen waffle just overflowed the unit.
5. Even with oiling the baking panels and overflow rim, every cranny the batter touched it stuck and would not be removed. At all.
6. The green light indicates when the plates are at the correct temperature for baking. Ther is NO light to indicate when the waffles should be done.
Zero stars. Would not recommend. Will be returning.

Love this appliance. My old waffle maker was an expensive heavy duty flipper I loved also but it was big and heavy and hard to clean and when my grandson messed it up I wanted one that would do the same job but cost a lot less. This is the best one I found to date. Works not just better than my old pricy one, but way way better. Even over flows of batter comes right off, so there is never a big mess like my last one, and this little gadget can make a perfect waffle. It's non stick iron plates let's you open up the waffle iron after an allotted time, you take a look, and if you want it a little more crispy; boom. You just close the lid and wait a couple minutes. It never tears your waffle to spreads, even if you lift it up two or three times. Now everybody can get light and fluffy or dense and crispy however they want it. So good. Great product. Been using it a few months and it still works as good now as when it first arrived. Better be hungry. This waffle iron makes em' big. About five or six pancakes of batter to make a one huge but perfect Belgium waffle. Highly recommend this product. One of the best kitchen appliances I've purchased in a long time. Hope this...

It does work and makes a crispy waffle if you use the correct waffle type badder and let it sit through 3 cycles. Takes awhile to heat up and finish the waffle, but they are đź‘Ť. The unit itself is pretty janky, not sure how long it's gonna last, it looks broken in the back, not sure if it was like that, but it works. I wouldn't recommend, I recommend buying a better one.
