Michael: These are my go to brand of desiccant for keeping my 3D printer filament dry. They work well and it is easy to tell when they need to be changed based on the color.
When it comes to recharging them, you CAN use a microwave, but you have to do it slowly and repeatedly with the microwave on very low, otherwise the moisture all condenses inside the packs and just gets reabsorbed. If your oven has decent temperature regulation, it typically will work pretty well around 200F. I also have a food dehydrator that will go up to about 80C and it does ok if I leave them in it long enough, though we are talking HOURS here.
That said, when it comes time to recharge them, I typically just cut the packs open and keep the beads loose, which makes them MUCH easier to get dried out in a bowl in the microwave. I then just add around a teaspoon or two to the bags I keep my filament in. You have to be a bit more careful when you get the filament out of the bags, but it really isn't that big a deal.
Overall though, I highly recommend these.

MiracleBeliever: I would have assigned 5 stars if the REACTIVATED silica packets had lasted as long as the BRAND NEW ones. Unfortunately, they do NOT, so it means that, PRAGMATICALLY, I can use each packet only once, especially since the REACTIVATED silica packets would have to be REACTIVATED again and again after comparatively short times of use.
Moreover, there seems to be a HUGE difference in the PERFORMANCE of randomly selected silica packets.
I tested 4 (of 14) randomly selected BRAND NEW silica packets.
I used the following test protocol:
A. Test packets 1 and 3 were placed inside 2 IDENTICAL sealed containers [(i) and (ii)] within which the Relative Humidity (RH) was maintained at 100%RH at ambient temperatures between 60-65F.
B. Periodically, over many days, I examined the color (BLUE <=> PURPLE <=> PINK) of the silica beads in each packet.
C. As soon as Test packets 1 and 3 had turned from the original 100% BLUE (BRAND NEW) to 100% PINK (SATURATED), I REACTIVATED each packet (1 or 3) INDIVIDUALLY in a 1200 watt microwave oven (MW) for the number of minutes (MINS) and at the Power Level % (PL%) listed in the data below UNTIL the beads had turned...

ScubaGirl: They did arrived already pink (so full of humidity): a chance that we can condition them again! The little packets are very thin and small and can be put everywhere. I use them for my underwater camera ( put severals in the casing) and they work just great.

D. Lund: Last year I got new hearing aids. They have all kinds of new technology that really does make my life easier, but they are far more sensitive to moisture than my previous ones. On a visit to the audiologist for moisture repair, they told me I probably need a dry box. I checked into them. They are expensive and many make noise. I did a little research and decided to buy these and put them in a small mason jar with the open hearing aids at night. It's worked like a charm! These were inexpensive and reusable, my hearing aids work well, and my husband doesn't have to listen to a fan in our room. When I travel, I put a few in a lock n lock box and use that. I haven't needed any more repairs. After a month or more (depending on MN seasons), they start to turn pink and I put them on a vented pizza pan and bake them at 225 for 30-45 minutes. Some have been recharged several times because my husband has used them with his camera stuff. I can't tell which have been recharged based on the look or feel of the package. One caution is to put them somewhere airtight as soon as you take them out of the oven. The first time, I left them on top of the stove to cool in the summer and they absorbed...

Crystal: Works great, we even use them in the bags with the specialty filaments for the 3D printers and pen and with electronics when kayaking. Many, many uses.

Zuki1216: Really like the color indication. Easy to "recharge" in the nuker. Would buy more if needed.
