These fit the silicone tubing some of my air pumps are using. I had hoped adding one to a line that didn't really need it would make the tube quit popping off the pump, but no luck. They do their job preventing backflow though.

Imagine my surprise as I hooked up my airline to each side and it allowed air to flow, unhindered wistfully into my gorgeous green algae ridden 75 gallon aquarium and when I turned the air off the slime ridden liquid did not return into the air pump that had exuded its breath into the murky water above.

Check valves are a must have if you are using an air pump. These fit easily and snugly into standard air line tubing, unlike some that are just to fat for the line. So far, I've not had a backflow incident but I'm confident these would protect my pump if I did. Well-made, sturdy and reasonably priced.

Works perfectly. I use it for my fish tanks and as a diy burp valve for my fermentation jars.
It does not work for co2 systems unless you seal the junction between the 2 plastic pieces. I did seal it with some glue and is working perfectly on a co2 system for my planted aquarium.
