50-Pack 1-Gallon Genuine Mylar Bags with 60 Oxygen Absorbers for Long-Term Food Storage

Doma: Used these for storing rice and beans. May use for other stuff later. Easily holds 10 cups of rice or beans, could hold even more but I only wanted to have that much opened at one time. Dropped in an oxygen absorber, and a desiccant pack with each and heat sealed the bags. They come with built in tear marks so you don't even have to add that yourself. Process was super simple with my ex and I. I held bags and sealed, she scooped, and helped make sure the bags weren't wrinkled before I sealed them. Did 50lbs of food in short order.

Mo: These bags are sturdy and don't tear easily so you don't have to worry about poking a hole in them while storing food in them. They seal easy with a hot iron and easy to open with the easy tear slit.

Eggscentric FarmEggscentric Farm: Great bags for my purposes. I bought 30 lbs of freeze dried beef liver for my dog. It arrived at the door in a large box and my hound dog could smell it through the door, the box, and the bag it was in. I used the large scoop I have for chicken feed and filled each bag with an oxygen remover and liver then sealed it with my foodsaver. Was perfect! Each bag has a tear line on the top and bottom, making them resealable once. My dog cannot smell the treats through the Mylar bags and I only used half of them.

J.L.M.: Wow I put up a lot of dry food. I sealed up around 125lbs, and still have some bags left over. The bags and Absorbers worked really well. I did have a few absorbers I had to replace because the bags didn’t tighten up. All things considered I would purchase this again.

KV: First time using any form of mylar bags for food storage and I am very pleased with the quality! The bags were thicker feeling than I expected, and sealed up perfectly when heated between an iron and an aluminum level. The 60 oxygen absorbers came in 3x20 packs. I have used 40 bags so far and all 40 oxygen absorbers have worked perfectly with none failing. I just try to do my preps when I am going to use 20 bags so that I only need to open one bag of 20 oxygen absorbers and not have to worry about resealing them. Push out as much oxygen from the bags before sealing them and then give a full 24 hours before you judge the effectiveness of the oxygen absorbers. If you put them in and expect to see a vacuum seal immediately, it is like watching your hand grow. I will be ordering again!
